Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Yeah non-PASM 981s do feel well sorted. The new Sport mode on 981 PASM does feel more pliant than 987 though. But the subtleties between non-PASM and PASM and its modes may need a track work comparison to expose. In my short test drives of them I couldn't really pick one as decisively superior to the other so was just wondering what you thought as you clock up the miles. Did you ever have a 981 with PASM as a loaner? I can well believe your opinion that you're not feeling it is lacking without it. What's your main gripe with the steering? You called it 'dimwitted' before!

Thanks a lot zyp. I'll have a look to sort that before the little road trip next week

ORIGINAL: Tim R Back the truck up abit!!! Did u say unplug the exhaust switch? Tell me how. I love the note and don't want to have to keep flicking the switch. My little red beauty going for a full valet before Le-Mans next week, can't wait!! [:)]

Yes I've driven a couple of PASM 981s. I found normal mode a bit soft and sports a bit harsh. I know it adjusts all the time but honestly the standard system is fine. The steering is great compared to most cars , just not the Spyder. In snooze mode it's better - 150 miles up the M6 and the lack of physical connection keeps it completely stable and no DVT in your fingers! Sports seats plus are not in same league as buckets either but easier to get in and out of. It is very good though.

Hey buddy, I had to relinquish the Spyder Admin post when I sold the car[:)] I am smitten with my current ride too, so there's only so much smittany I can afford my ex[8D] If you click quote on my post on page one, copy the text, click edit on one of your page 1 posts and paste it in there. Then you can take over adding the new members[:)] Welcome Sandy and Tim R. Is it stupid question Tim to ask if you have a Spyder or Cayman R?

Spotted - Red Spyder, reg S7 RGE at the McArthur Glen retail outlet yesterday (out despite the heavy showers!). I don't think I've come across this car before on here - does anyone recognise it? Can't be that many red ones. Coincidentally, thought we'd seen a Spyder as we drove in, but it was a standard car in white with the stripes - interesting that these 2 visuals trick me so easily []

OPC's x 3 Spyders Mayfairs deal seems to have gone pear shape as the car is back on used car locator and Pistonhead[&o]

Was that Mc Arthur Glen Livingstone Nr Edinburgh ? If it was it was my twin as I believe there are only 2 Red ones in Scotland

ORIGINAL: MrDemon I think you would turn up , think it looks nice, see the red steering wheel and run a mile.
Apparently finance got refused so deal couldn't be done[&o] But if someone wants that spec with low miles the steering wheel is small potatoes too sort out in the deal[:D]

Am i missing something, what is wrong with a red leather steering wheel in a car with red leather interior. My only concern with the red leather is the light reflection in the windscreen. As it has the Alcantara how would it look with a matching Alcantara dash top ??

Not really Mr D doesnt like the Red wheel but it works for me. Changing the wheel to a black one wouldn't be a big deal if that was an issue for any wannabe buyer
