Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: daro911 Any Spydermen current or EX going to the Silverstone Classic weekend this month as it would be great to meet up for a chinwag and 99 together [8D]
Yes I am. Not sure which day but be good if we could get a Spyder gathering. Great Prescott photos last time we had a handful together, be even better with a Silverstone backdrop. I love my Golf R as any everyday car, pdk is brilliant but it makes the contrast of driving the manual Spyder even more pleasurable.

Would like to see more to warrant this really. I will be present on all three days - probably only have Spyder Saturday and Sunday So currently Saturday is looking good for meeting? TPC Racing is proud to introduce our 981 Stage 2 Suspension Package! Our Stage 2 Suspension Package was developed specifically for use with the well-valved factory shocks(standard and PASM). From daily driving to race track, our package elevates handling performance to the GT level cars without compromising road comfort, giving. The key to maintaining road comfort while increasing lateral grip is using the nicely-valved factory shocks developed by Porsche Engineers. By keeping the shocks at their optimum travel stroke and providing the chassis with just the right amount of additional support we have achieved the ultimate balance giving you the best of both worlds!

Nice thought. I think I'm some time off a suspension refresh! Looks good but mine will be staying OEM for the next 2 years whilst it's under warranty. It has been very pleasant around the deserted roads of Brittany today.

Really can't see any reason from the advert why this hasn't sold. Seems to have been available for a long time.

I have asked has anyone seen it before which got a nil response Perhaps those with the red cars are doomed![;)]

I did look at it last year, it was for sale privately on autotrader for 36k i believe. Then it re appeared at luigi moters for more money, then i suppose current owner bought it from them, hence why they have tried to sell it SOR.albeit for more money :)

Condition? Any obvious reason for no sale? I emailed Luigi and asked if there car is the same one advertised privately and as you would expect zero response![:D]

Condition was ok, but when i viewed it, the inside of the wheels were covered in rust from the brake discs( obviously put away wet tut tut) and somebody couldn't be bothered to clean it off , so not a great start. Spec wasn't right for me, and i didn't like the red dials, personally i think white would have looked better!! It just didn't have " buy me" written on it.

I don't think the photos help either.[8|] The poor thing looks like it lives in a container[]. see PH photo taken from rear of car. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-987-05-12/porsche-boxster-987-gen-ii-spyder------------------2011/2249445 The photos don't entice anyone to go look[:-]
