Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Even with three cars at OPC's and at least one Private, I'm sure there are more buyers than sellers. I wonder how many people are lurking here or on PH waiting for their prefered spec to show up.

I can immediately think of three high-ish mileage cars (40k+), two of which are PDK. Dont forget I have member on a budget for a PDK up to 40k miles looking to buy. Cheers Cliff[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I posted some time ago about the horn sticking on...... a few posted they also had the same problem and was wondering if it was sorted under the warranty and also how many have had this problem. It has been pointed out to me it is not a warranty claim and purely a good will gesture from the supplying dealership which is around a 100 mile drive away and I asked if I could take it to a more local dealer to have the work carried out but as it is not warranty could be asked to pay for it .I pointed out that others have had the same problem so it is not a one off. Any info would help my argument as to this being a known fault . Thanks in advance . Brian

Brian I had trouble with my horn, must be only the Red ones, just joking. When my car went for first service I mentioned it and it was fixed no charge at my local PC. ,

I have just had a call from my supplying dealer to say it will be sorted by my local opc at no charge. It was pointed out that if any repair /adjustment it is covered under the cars 2 year manufacturers warranty FOC.. BUT if it is an extended warranty you have adjustments are chargeable .strange one .... so one happy Spyder owner

I had the same problem with mine, OPC sorted it for me. It was quite embarrassing at the time, everyone looking for the wrong reasons

Happened on my first day with Spyder 2[&o]Very embarrassing and I have silicone the area and not used the horn since after a few practices to see if the silicone worked which it seems too but I understand from googling its faulty shims or something like that so hoping when I have the 4 year service next April they will do it as a goodwill claim too

I too had the problem. It was fixed FOC by the local OPC, but I can't remember whether it was whilst under manufacturer's warranty or extended warranty.

My horn got stuck in the middle of France on a leisurely rally drive through a village - I sounded the horn at some children who waved and the bl**dy thing stuck on.[] So from being hero to zero in a minute and all the kids killing them self's with laughter.[:D][:D][:D] Major embarrassment[]
