Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I disagree. There is endless debate because people do have differing views. My perfect Spyder spec: White Manual Spyder alloys Bucket seats Sports exhaust Sports chrono PCM3 PCCB Climate Parking sensors Cruise Extended leather Maybe some alcantara bits Sports steering wheel Xenon headlights I bet they didn't even make one like that!
 
As said Rob everyones views and needs are different. Be sad if everyone had the same spec and colour what would this thread debate. As said horses for courses. [;)]

You know what I mean Rob - there is no "right or wrong" spec, hence a spread of cars selling with different specs. I wouldn't dream to tell someone that their spec was "wrong" - that doesn't mean that I would want the same though!

I think my Spyder No.2 spec is probably 1/1 despite me ditching those Carrera Classics for Spyder wheels [8D]Glad I never paid for all these ticked boxes [&o]

Hi all I'm heading off for another Euro roadtrip (3rd this year!) in a few weeks so thought I'd take the Spyder to an Indy I know well (Precision Porsche, Sussex) for a health check before the trip. The tech had the car up on the ramp and showed me around the underside and all looked pretty good, slight corrosion on some parts but nothing untoward for a 4 year old car. The only thing we had to replace was an exhaust bracket which had a crack in it. He stated it may have lasted for ages without failing but they had them in stock and for the sake of £18 we might as well swap it out while I was there to which I agreed. He did advise that the rubber bushes on the rear suspension were de-laminating and suggested we should swap them out before too long, maybe Spring 2015. Anyone else done this yet? Apparently the tell tale sign is a bit of lateral movement in the rear wheels, probably more noticeable on track. This might shock some on here but when I get back from the next trip the Spyder should have clocked over 30k miles!! Well that's my plan of selling my rapidly appreciating Spyder for £200k in two years time up the spout, no collector will touch it now...... [:D]

did that last year, bush's are fine though, 11k miles dry use only, no sigh of any wear. I am fitting solid rear toe link arms next spring though so no movement then :)

[:D] Good to see you're enjoying the car through using it. You won't lose much because it's going to take some time for Spyders to appreciate to a level to cry about losing out on. It will be interesting to see how many current owners have their Spyders long enough to cash in on some big money in the future. And i'm not talking about buying for £39,995 and selling for £49,995. For the sake of £10K i'd rather use it plenty and forfeit the profit. If putting miles on it had lost me a potential £30K profit then I might be crying. But I think £70K for a Spyder is a little way off[8D]

I agree. Which is why I don't understand why there are so many responses when one person says buckets alone are best etc. when everyone else knows, because they own or have easily sold their preferred spec, that that is not the case (and have responded previously to the same topic, time and again). It's like déjà vu on here sometimes, well, often times[:)]
