Just watched the video on Piston heads of the 4cyl Cayman at N Ring. (don't think Ill bother)
I'll try and get over. My Spyder now wears mono balls at the rear locked all up, and -2.5 at the front for track, and engine mounts. Rob was too close in his Cayman last time, so the cars more track focused now ;-) and feels much more direct. My corner speeds have gone up so much some thing must be wrong in my doors as when I pull lets say 1.5 G ;-) my windows drop on their own !! I might have to pop over in the Cayman though, I need new tyres on the Spyder and was waiting for CUP 2's to go on in April. I tend not to book winter track days as I don't like the rain, I think your rally skills help you know end in the wet, where I just shit myself if it rains lol. I went out in the rain the other day and the Spyder wheels spins in a straight line in 3rd !!!! the cars so light it floats on top of the water lol (joke btw, the Race maxx tyres are so bad in the wet the car just spins up even in 3rd gear)ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Never know we may even get another 'flash visit' from Mr D which would be good too [] It would be nice to see some of the Spydermen as well on track [8D]
welcome, nice car you have got into there I would get the geo sorted and maybe go for the SS on the manual. As for the roof, just leave it offORIGINAL: C2MTH Hi all, looks like down to 1 at OPCs as I have today bought the Bournemouth one! Congrats on your purchase ....re the roof try it out a few times best get assistance on your first go .I use the slow method it all depends how hard the rain comes down [] I always tuck in the heavy weight on the passengers side into the little stitched flap as it saves any chance of hitting the paintwork .Enjoy the car and you can take it out in the rain it wont shrink and lets in no water . I yours is the one in the picture go for the Boxster delete rear badge IMO looks a lot tidier .. Dealer can do it for free if you ask nicely just need a new Spyder badge which will cost you £30ORIGINAL: C2MTH Thanks everyone for the posts.. Brian one question. You said "I yours is the one in the picture go for the Boxster delete rear badge IMO looks a lot tidier .." is that an option at this stage ?
Yup. I'm in. Finding a date to fit it in may be tricky though. Have a couple of trips to Cormbury House booked and a long weekend in Munich at end of November. Maybe early start and home by lunch again?ORIGINAL: flat6 Hi Andy I can't make it this time [&o] I hope to do EVO in the new steed before the end of the year.
