ORIGINAL: C2MTH Thanks everyone for the posts.. Brian one question. You said "I yours is the one in the picture go for the Boxster delete rear badge IMO looks a lot tidier .." is that an option at this stage ?
Dealer can do it for free if you ask nicely just need a new Spyder badge which will cost you £30

You can actually use the same badge as I did .I used the 3m double sided foil the same stuff I sent you Robert sadly have no spare to give away
Is that badge centred?

....and then there was one! Pics to follow but I've bought the White Spyder from Dick Lovett Swindon. Going for a drive later today before officially collecting a week on Saturday (1st Nov). Dealer is pushing Autoglym Lifeshine preparation for £500. I won't be paying that but wondered about opinions on the product as the car will be in regular use and spend a good proportion of its life outside year round. Managed to get the PSE fitted in the deal which, along with sports shift brings the spec up to what I probably would have chosen as my ideal. I may have added Sports Chrono too if it included the dash gauge which apparently can't be retrofitted though. Looking forward to linking up with some of you sometime soon.....in the meantime, hope you all have a great weekend!!![8D] It Has White transmission tunnel Lightweight Wheels Carbon Backed Bucket Seats CDR30 Manual Gearbox PSE Sports Shift It Doesn't Have Climate Control PCM PDK ...all of which suits me fine.

Congrats! Add the sport chrono. The wart on the dash is typically the least used part of it. The sharpened throttle response is what it's all about[;)]

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S look forward to reading your impressions [;)] So many new Spydermen in last few days

I got the guy who details mine to do it. He removed the old badges (with a very thin credit card type thing), removed the remaining adhesive, then machine polished to clean the area up, before applying a new replacement "Spyder" badge. I'm not sure I'd trust an OPC to do a scratch free replacement [8|]

Autoglym Lifeshine
great spec DON'T do the life shine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Autoglym-Lifeshine-Kit-/281472448002?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item418910b602 you can buy it for pence. My OPC now offers a proper swisswax service which is great.

OPC Bournemouth, who I have to say have been great thus far, have agreed to do this for me as part of the vehicle prep. so I hope your concerns aren't valid..

just comes across as you don't want to own a Boxster though to me. People take the piss out of Boxster owners, take the badge off, people have no idea what it is, even thinking it's the £700k 918

Completely wrong. I proudly tell people I went from 5 911's including a 89 Speedster owned and cherished for 14 years to Boxsters x 7 since 1997. I have no problem owning a Boxster what so ever but I do have a problem cleaning around all those letters and after 3 years of no rear badge I can handle the "Spyder" from a cleaning point and also I think its the perfect number of letters for that area. Boxster Spyder looks far to busy IMO

Completely wrong
not really "Completely wrong" though is it. Cockster Poor mans Porsche Hairdressers car and so it goes on, Take the badge off and all that goes away, when you just say "Porsche Spyder"

as you used the 3M foil to re fit your badge, do yoou know which one you used as i do think there is quite a few with diferent code numbers
