ORIGINAL: Rocket Man i am sure Tom in not going to tell but easily worth £43k plus
As I posted on the other thread in euro land they are now 70k euro's for low mile examples Not that I am selling mine , but they are under valued here in the UK atm, that will change imo this year. LHD GT3 and RS4.0 are about 30% less than the price of UK cars, but the Spyder is 25% more !! All it takes is 1 car to be up at £50k and so it starts JZM do it now and so do Top 555 they add 10k over any other car and still sell cars. Tom at 911V needs to up his prices , he sells them to fast ;-) if they are trading in the 30's which they must be it's a ideal deal time to stock pile cars and then release cars at £55k quite a few cars have had this happen to them CSL's, RS focus etc a garage picks a car, buys about 5 or 6 and then starts a new higher price on them, the private market follows. any one know why Spyders are bigger money in euro land ?

Saving myself for another day and value will drop at least £50.00 once she hits 3k [:D]
The white privately owned one looks a good original car, still shows the alloy at the edge of the black wheels. Must be a good buy at the price. At these prices I can see more cars going overseas.

I think there has always been a bit of business between the UK and Asia, remember all those little Mazda Eunos (MX5 equivalents) that came to the UK second hand, right hand drive, also helped as they drive on the left in quite a few countries in Asia. While import duties might be high if the car is cheap enough to start with some may consider it worthwhile, like the chaps in Singapore mentioned earlier in the thread.

After selling his first 997.2 carrera s to a guy who ships them to HK for a living, there are easy sales to be had for the right porsche in Asia. My friend keeps getting calls from his guy to shift his gts as he has a queue of people wanting quality second hand vehicles out there.

Yes if Spyders appear cheap here compared to the rest of Europe, we have noticed so others will, and people can see the chance of some investment potential. I think it is only a question of time until more go overseas. As has been said before Porsche have a habit of sticking to the same body shell and just changing the easy bits, it is not vey often they make a car with structural change and when they do they charge for it, like the Speedster. They had anticipated selling large numbers of Spyders to justify the production expense which didn't materialise, which suits us fine.

As spring gets nearer the choice of Spyders for sale in Year 5 is a very limiting choice of just 3 examples which is probably a 5 year all time low. Great news for anyone thinking of selling there's in the near future
