I take it the code you quoted is your own personnel spec sheet for the car you have ordered . Looks very nice hope you enjoy it when it arrives and lives up your expectations which I am sure it will .So it will be a GT4 and a Spyder in the garage nice mix

ORIGINAL: Rocket Man want one, cant afford or even get one if i could, booo hooo not good
Back in the day 2010/2011/2012 you had a choice of dozens of used Spyders then in 2013/14 the source started to dry up enough to push the prices north and 2015 has started very good for anyone looking to sell SO Rocket Man hang in there and you are likely to see history repeat itself []

Congrats MrD. Hoping we get a few ownership experiences on the Club forum. Do you think they'll give customers a go in one a PEC before they collect their cars?

ORIGINAL: philnotts99 There could be 3 Spyders hitting the sales pitch within the next 6 weeks!
I intend to run mine through most of 2015 especially after its had the BIG service and MOT this April[8D] Very happy to consider a Spyder Gen 2 later into the production cycle

thanks all you cannot order heated Buckets with 918 seats ! they added heat to the GT2 style seats and now no heat on the 918 style seats ! annoying...

I think it will be stronger from the get-go because of the order-book process. Also the concept isn't difficult to grasp like the Spyder was. The GT4 blend the legendary GT'x' line with the known mid-engined perfection of the Cayman / Boxster. The Spyder took a while for people to get it and the right people to buy it. In the beginning there were more people saying why get a Boxster with a manual roof when there's one with an electric roof available. I think the next Spyder will sell strongly as the market is now ready for a roofless car (as the 987 version are all in the hands of people who are happily living with the roof or no roof at all). I'm hoping the next Spyder has the same roof as the first. A manually folding roof would really confuse the market again. Why get a manually folding roof when you can get an electrical one that won't look radically different. The looks are as important as the light weight in the market's desirability of the Spyder I think.

I like that spec, the guards stitching lifts the interior. Interesting that you'd go for PCM. Think of the weight! I just cannot own a white car, apart from that I think my spec would be quite similar. In due course I can see a GT4 being added to "the list".

So will the 981 Spyder come with GT2 buckets or 918 chairs as standard kit!
