Can't imagine the point unless you are going to track the car on a regular basis - What would the road ride be like with this kit fitted [&:] How would it affect ones warranty and insurance premiums!

I think it's great news, but as we found out with the 987.2 owners on here, only me a fire modded our cars. Shame people are so scared to tune away from oem spec in the UK.

Insurance is a personal risk judgement but the now 3 year manufacturers warranty should not be affected, but some PCs do seem to find issues as a matter of business practice.

On insurance, I have a 3.8S engine in my 981 Cayman - Manning insure it on the 991S tariff, and Locktons would insure it as a 3.4 Cayman - both with fully disclosed modifications and higher insured replacement cost value.

Cayman 3.8S with PDK that must be one seriously quick Porsche and interesting you have something Porsche waffled on about not being possible to develop in the time frame given for the new Spyder/GT4's

Have you had any issues with this conversion?

A breakdown on what has been done and by whom would be really interesting to hear about

Thanks ... what an interesting and brave project [;)]

Mega thing I would say :)

wish I had the money and brave pill to do a x51 GT4 mod.

but one has to think a better GT4 will come out in gen 2 form.

Collected yesterday, wanted to drive home with the hood down. It looked like it may rain any moment but the roads were dry.

Thankfully it didn't rain, so only a short drive home.

A bit early to give summary other than to say, when the PSE is on, I mean ON, It sounds twice as loud as the 987 [;)]
