in 2 months time we will have a better idea of actual numbers as we will be up to 30/06/16 with very few cars registered after this date

Vehicle DescriptionBoxster Spyder 981 model. First registered November 2015 and supplied to its only owner by a UK main dealer. Known to us from new the car has been owned by a true Porsche enthusiast. Properly run in and very well optioned. Lightly used and cossetted thus far in its short life. A very rare car, fewer than 200 Spyders are believed to have been sold in the UK. Stunning to look at and courtesy a 3.8 litre 375bhp engine no slouch on the road. One is immediately reminded of the early 718 RSK model Porsches thanks to the open top and rear deck humps. Porsche themselves hit the nail on the head when they called this car unadulterated. We are thrilled to have it for sale. Standard Spyder spec includes Porsche Torque Vectoring, mechanical limited slip differential, Sports Chrono, Switchable sports exhaust system, tyre pressure monitoring and bucket seats. This particular car has, in addition to the standard spec, full black leather (full leather in the Spyder has Alcantara seat inserts), silver stitching, leather steering wheel, gear knob and centre console, 64 litre fuel tank, heated seats, cruise control, sound package plus, PCM satellite navigation, telephone module, reversing camera, dual zone air conditioning, colour coded roll over hoops, crested wheel centres, net type wind deflector, storage net in passenger footwell and so on. Supplied with original purchase documentation, handbooks and even the hard backed Boxster Spyder sales promotional book. 3,215 recorded miles. [/ul]

It is mine Dyllan, but rest assured I am not just flipping it to make a few quid. I have another purchase in mind and need to free up some funds. I will keep you posted on the replacement.

The Spyder is a great car and I will miss it. The performance, handling and noise are all fantastic. I ran it in carefully and have cherished it so I hope it goes to a good enthusiast owner. It's got a great spec for anyone looking for a good example at a fair price.

I am always at odds when people quote

"The performance, handling and noise are all fantastic" then sell up after a few months ! so not really that fantastic enough to keep then in the middle of the UK summer !

I said this about my 987.2 Spyder and cannot bare to part with the damm thing.

£79k is a nice earner done and said all ;-)

it is a nice spec for sure (bar the alcantara delete) , fair price well, that bit is debatable on a car with 3.5k miles and 13k over list lol

Is it on a SOR or did they buy it from you ?

Sorry to seem so negative, but these cars are getting flipped like crazy, all new porkers are !!

I guess you can try for free and make money on them so it stands to reason people flip after a few months and pocket £10k , if the cars are that great people would keep em.

My local PC tells me that if the purchaser of a special porsche (Spyder / GT etc) flips it they won't get a second chance to do so and the next special car will be sold to the next most valued customer. You can't stop one-offs.

As a BIG % seem to be flipped, I have no idea how an OPC can stop the flippers as the next lot of people down the line will also flip the cars.

you can't stop flippers and the more down the line you go the more one will flip imo.

At least the valued customers keep buying new cars more often/ Macans etc , better the devil you know in sales as it makes no odds who they sell to really.

upset a valued client and they might switch brands.

I wanted a GT4 when I found it was manual and could not get one, tried nearly every OPC in the country when I eventually gave up I tried for a Spyder but I have to admit I was late trying for that so settled for the GTS. I sold my GT3 for a GT4 but was told by the OPC that they could not supply after saying I could have a car, went to someone via the DP I guess, hope that was not flipped. I have asked about the next GT4 and GT3 if it is a manual option but expect I will have the same problem again if I want a GT car. I have to admit you do feel a bit sick when you want to buy GT cars to drive and enjoy and the only way to get one is to pay overs which I really don't want to do again.

We will wait and see .

Seems pretty fair to me too Terry

as are all you boys at 911v

after you took my 987S 2 yrs ago I've poured several hundred thousand into the retirement house and been porscheless all this time

now ready to start looking for a good 991 PDK with sports seat plus if one comes in please give me a shout

all the best
