Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

You too Vic GNY ..sad I know both mine have been SORN since Oct . Started both up last week and jacked them up spun the wheels to a different position so not as to flat spot them have 55 PSI in them at present .

Note PITG is 20th May this year

Not here, after Xmas hols Spyder was desperate to be let out for a spin, so its dry and sunny day and was let rip around Dorking & Guildford for an hour. Now tucked up and due its two year service imminently.

Away !!

Here is mine last night on a Frosty walk, retuned at sunset to an empty carpark.

Sweet Pic David.

I feel you may be slowly falling in love with that 981 after all :)

Hope the 987's not getting too jealous.....

I cannot make my mine up on it lol

some things annoy me, it's no GT4, but that might be a good thing in some ways. the P zero annoy me most, how do you guys cope with them ?

I still think I'll sell it after I have done a photoshoot etc on it with my 987.2 Spyder.

I really do fancy hot rodding a car like this as we all know it will do 435BHP :)

My R and this will go up for sale at the same time in a few weeks, I'll keep the one which don't sell at the right price. so my car to keep is in the hands of the buyers.

I find the p zeros are very temperature sensitive. Hot day they are fine in fact good but cooler and they drop off and i mean cooler not cold. Sounds like you will not have it long enough to find out ?

Nice to see your a fan of the 987.2 Spyder, brought mine last year and loving it , do you prefer it to the newer Spyder ?

Paul.

Although the question was not directed to me .Having both for some time the 987 for 5 years and the 981 for nearly 2 years .If I had to choice one it would be the 987 some thing about it feels more sportier, cabin feels m stripped out compared to the 981 cant explain .The rear of the car is nicer in the 987 but the front on the 981 wins hands down and the exhaust is fantastic but possibly tiresome having it on sport all the time .Will be interested in what the new one turns out to look like and the spec .

I bet you sell the Spyder Mr D before the R ...I would

Not fussy I just need to sell one to make room for the red monster.

the thing with the R is, it stops me making the effort to use the 987,2 Spyder, only 600 miles last year :-(

Thanks B

saw the Glasgow one. I think that's one they previously had in back in November 2016. It's identical high spec.

I just can't seem to reconcile in my own head all that extra cash over my 987 spyder (Esp with the substantial premium over list). in some ways I am glad the deal last year didn't go through......as it would mean giving up the 987....as does "er indoors" who has desires on that extra cash for housey stuff 😜

Although the current Glasgow one is almost exactly what I would have ordered had I taken up the offer of one when they were originally available 😳

+1 on both counts!

Mine is going to go up for sale, quite a big spec, with 918 Buckets, AC, PCM with nav, colour coded roll over hoops and reverse camera, white with classic GT interior.

£76k so the cheapest out there if any one is interested drop me a PM, just had the service done and brake fluid done so free motoring for the buyer and full Porsche warranty of course.

no over revs and just passed an OPC 111 check up when it was serviced, so good to go. part ex is an option at trade cost ofcourse (if it's sporty and newish) , car is finance free.

I was going to sell the R but after a clean up and drive, it looks like it will be the 981 Sypder going up for sale.

Car will not go up for sale in the public main sites till Spring but it will be at a higher price of £79k , this is a winter price ;-)

Mileage is 8k atm.

You have left of the deal maker or even possible breaker [:D] from your sales pitch M I L E A G E [;)] to date

Fixed, it's on 8k miles, so just starting to free up, it feels faster than my GT4, might just be the noise and open ness, but the GT4 engine was tight and these cars need a few miles to get stronger I am finding. I wish I could keep every thing, but GT3 money is night and day price bracket above, so I need the funds at some point.

Cheapest car about and with a new OPC service and Brake fluid change, one can treat themselves to some Ps4S with the saving :) I think the car would be a stellar improvement with PS4S on it. Closest car is the JZM car , but it's more money, prob needs the 2 year service and does not have Colour coded roll hoops or sat NAV or the reverse camera.

I would have said no need for the reverse camera in most cars and it's a fad, but you really cannot see anything in the 981 Spyder, the camera is a must have imo on this model.

Reverse Camera becomes law from May 2018 on all new cars so just as well yours has it won’t feel so dated in years to come :ROFLMAO:

Good luck with the sale
