Hi and Welcome We are few and far between[ORIGINAL: spyderwhite spyder owner saying hello !
Welcome onboard your car sounds like a very nice light example and as you say a very late one too What is the mileage now if you don't mind sharing And as it's a new page here is a picture to keep the ball rolling [ORIGINAL: spyderwhite going by chassis number and model year 2012 (C) its one of the last batch built.owned from new or rather pre registered by opc with 4 miles on the clock.it is white with spyder black wheels has buckets, aircon and radio put back in so not a true lightweight(15kg added back in)!manual gearbox with a short shift, pse ,sport chrono(white clock)psm, phone, sound, usb and also has parking sensors rear.the roll over bars are white and has the alcantara steering wheel, handbrake and gearlever. these are the options that come with the car as it was a stock car,the only thing i would have liked is the xenons!

I'm quite impressed with the Sound Package plus. Very bassy and I can't say i'm missing any base from the Bose system with sub-woofer that was in my Cayman. I was pleased but surprised about that. Perhaps if I tested them side by side i'd notice a small difference but apart, they seem pretty much the same. Yeah sounds like a lot of hassle to remove it but as you don't get any car information through the standard radio, like PCM - trip computer etc (or do you?) i'm surprised it's so hard to remove. What you need is to do is swap to a Cayman R or Spyder instead [ORIGINAL: John HI consider the basic radio in my Cayman utterly useless, and I rarely use it. I was going to buy one of the Spyder blanking plates (as per that photo) and take the radio out, until my OPC informed me that if I did, the car would have to be reprogrammed. Because the bus wiring "knows" what components are installed, remove one and you have to teach the car to re-configure itself, and even they weren't too sure of the process, never having done it before. I eventually decided it was more bother than its worth, shame cos I fancied doing it.ORIGINAL: flat6Indeed John. I sometimes wonder if I could live without a radio. Maybe I could if it wasn't my daily driver[8|].ORIGINAL: John H A PROPER Spyder too, with the radio deleted. []

Rob, i'm trying to conserve my brand new front pads - I think Angelsey is the only hard work that they will see for a while [ORIGINAL: rob.kellock That sounds lovely. White ones are fastest - meet flat6 in the Welsh mountains and he'll happily demonstrate this!
£42k for a very late registered low mileage example from an OPC isn't a bad price IMO although I would insist on a wheel switch as part of the deal Now whilst I REALLY wanted the carbon buckets my car had the heated seats but compensated for by having my other must have options full leather and PSE. When I was considering brand new for a while all investigations by me said the seats are 50/50 for or against the carbon buckets but like myself who really wanted them finding a car without wasn't a deal breaker where as anyone not wanting them will not take a car that has them at any price. They are definitely a marmite thing I think in decades to come the carbon buckets will always be the number 1 choice but with the split probably being less than 50% with them I think cars without will still find homes [&o]ORIGINAL: spyderwhite £42k for a car with the wrong wheels and seats imho spyders should have the spyder wheels and buckets. its like buying a 911 sport classic with carrera S wheels or a 2.7rs with aftermarket rims
You just have to check the Porsche Used Car Locator and see how many 981's and 981S's are on the market today after only 10 months UK production to see it won't be very long when the choice will be used Spyder or used 981 S for similar money [ORIGINAL: spyderwhite so spyders have risen in value already!!!!!
Times are very tough I know but how much did they buy that car in for [ORIGINAL: rob.kellock They are similar money already!
