Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I see what you men guys. A shrewd move by homerdog to use PTS in his 5[;)] You should try the short shifter Rob. I got it fitted to mine before collection so didn't drive mine without it but had driven the Cayman S 200 miles to collect it. The difference was fairly significant and is worth it IMHO. When you're on the B road section of the EVO triangle the swapping of gears is just that bit slicker as you have a smaller throw of the lever before reaching back to the steering wheel. I guess it's only shaving milliseconds off being ready to lift off the clutch pedal, but it feels good nonetheless[:)] I asked them to put the standard shifter in the car. So I hsve the amputated component in the garage - don't know why[8|] I guess because I paid for both[:D]

New page and some more "blues" to ponder for the 3 main fans amongst the Spydermen currently [;)]

Thanks for the link John My must haves are sports seats heated and PDK with sport chrono and xenons plus air con (Linda reqt ) Still looking!!

Guys Have a good Easter break, weather looking dry but cold all over the U-K but roads still full of that salt dust so maybe a opportunity for a run . A question as i am only 5 .8" and have short legs i sit quite far forward and do not get the same view of the front of the car as i did in the other car Boxster . It is bucket seats could you add spacers to the rails to lift them higher or raise the lumber support at the back to throw the seat forward . Brian

You could always swap your buckets for my sports seats - then you could have it as high as you like! Interestingly, my car has all of dyllan's must haves, but I'd only sell it if I could buy another with all of my must haves (which doesn't include Riviera blue!).

Thought it was the turn of my daily driver to get some TLC whilst the sun is out. The Spyder reflects well in her, 7 years old in a few days!

I reckoned that would be the answer [:D] To be honest if my car had Sports Seats i would have still have bought it.When you buy used it is unusual to get all your wish list .I was just wondering if there was a DIY fix without changing over seats .Will just keep it as it is for now . I think there a few who would be willing to swap. Brian

Joking aside, my understanding is that the buckets sit higher than the lowest setting of the sports seats.

Hence my reasoning for having two lists Brian. 1) Nice to have. Items that if some not present would not stop me buying. 2) Must have. Manual, Colour, PSE etc etc. Items not present then don't buy

It's interesting how Riviera Blue works with black wheels but Aqua Blue looks much better with silver wheels. The painted blue seats look pretty cool[:)]

It's very dark green. As per the Spyder, I like it because it is very rare! I agree with you regarding the wheels above. Apologies for leaving the roof on the Spyder but is was 2 degrees here and MrsK wasn't too keen on the hypothermia experience!

Brian, having come across this pic on the same link as the blue car, it seemed humorous to post this picture alongside your post. Is this you?[;)] http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/987-981-forum/704926-the-987-2-fights-back.html

I discovered an unusual amount of debris in my radiators today. I would rather the OPC's clear the rads when the car is in for work rather than wash it! Not that i'd leave it so long to clear them. Luckily with the Spyder's single slat arrangement I can get my hand in and remove it all.

The painted blue seats look pretty cool[:)] flat6 My brother had the painted rears circa £800[] the much cheaper alternative is to have them wrapped and you can achieve the same look for circa £300 but some wrappers warned the edges might eventually lift due to interior temperatures![&o] Others said it would be fine[:-] so I decided to leave my car as is[:D]
