Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Well, it's a sad day - my Spyder was sold within one day and it has now left my side to go to pastures new [&o]

was priced to sell also which helped.

It sold via Piston Heads, had done only 14250 miles and although it went with no warranty, yes, at £39950, it was certainly priced to sell sharpish ! However, I never see the point of advertising something for top dollar and then reducing the price, so everyone sees it was advertised a bit overpriced to start with - just my thoughts. It's now sold though and I'm looking for a really nice Macan Turbo or Panamera E-Hybrid or turbo ASAP for around £50k.

Whilst waiting to see the 3rd generation Spyder lets go back to the start of this great concept [8D]

Thats a great video Rob! These steam engined cars sound great but alas will be confined to museums in the near future...

Have you heard the Taycan recently? It sounds truly awesome - just like KITT from Knight Rider. I can see you cruising around in one of those sporting beautiful hair just like Michael Knight ;)

Looks like it’s back on the market again at an OPC

That still looks like a good buy for someone who wants PDK[:)]

A nice bit off profit there ... min 8K for the OPC if they sell it for that ...would have been nice to see it in the hands of a private owner .

I wish some of you would get off your soap boxes. Without mentioning names, 2 of you on this forum asked me for full details of the car, which I gladly supplied. One didn't bother to come back to me at all, so obviously he wasn't interested and the other offered me an insulting £38000, which I declined. he didn't increase the offer, untill I told him that I had sold it ! Also there's a few of points you're all forgetting - judging by the date stamps on the four tyres, they are 9 years old and all would obviously need to be renewed before they sell it, as Porsche recommends tyres should be replaced at 6 years of age, irrevelant to mileage travelled ! Also, if I would have put the 2 year warranty on it, that would have cost me nearly £3000 apparently and it was due for a major service and spark plugs costing another £1000. So remembering that the dealer needs to make a profit, I sold at a price acceptable to me and the dealer will not be making a min £8k as you suggest.

Im not one of the two you are talking about, I have my own 987 spyder manual.

I think you have done ok personally. The opc will do ok too though as they will obviously pay cost for the tyres, major service will be peanuts to them, warranty will prob cost them a grand.

They have to sell it though and 48k for a pdk is strong money.

So as I see it you both have done ok out of the deal.

Look who's in Evo this week online....
