Honestly think that’s an awful price for the car, average price now over £40k Silverstone haven’t done the car or owner any favours. I’ve seen these fetch £48k. Its a personal thing I guess, I’m not sure I’d part with mine full stop but certainly not for that price.

I think that car was sold a few weeks ago via Collecting cars and bought by one of the independents I think ?...the reason is at that price wrong seats/ wrong wheels / no sport chrono /for a start so about right imo

did anyone else notice the TESTAROSA sold for a low price they hardly pushed the price up and yet on other cars they milked it for every ££££ plenty of remarks on YT about this sale .

Looking forward to seeing your Oslo Blue Spyder, I think it's a great colour, I'd never seen it in the flesh either so was a bit nervous esp when past the point of no return.

The colour does appear to vary quite a bit in different lights etc, but over all I think it looks pretty cool, silver wheels will also be nice.

The pictures look amazing, it was 50/50 between Oslo blue and voodoo blue, it makes me feel more comfortable about my choice. My only concern is that once you’ve had one PTS car standard colours no longer cut it. It looks like Porsche Centre Aberdeen in the picture, I live in Aberdeen, it would be nice to get some pictures of them together.

Yes Aberdeen it is.

Normally I'd have looked forward to getting a few pictures of the 2 cars together, but unfortunately I no longer have it, long story but just wasn't finding enough time to actually drive it at the moment.

I don't think it's far away and often spotted at Knockhill and I presume various other tracks, it did 3000 miles in a few months apparently so good to know it's being driven as it should be.

I have had 2 Spyders in the past, and can see me getting another one at some point, great cars.

I remember when it was launched. The motoring press didn't get it. Many a Boxster owner didn't get it. All I could see was a car that would tempt me to buy my first open top car and for all the right reasons. Haven't had an open top car since having a Spyder. To me it made perfect sense. I don’t want to be picky, but wasn’t the Los Angeles debut in 2009? My car was registered May 2010 and I recall that the first ones in the UK were around March 2010?

Well spotted school boy error on my behalf

First unveiled at the 2009 Los Angeles Motor Show, the 987 Boxster Spyder was the lightest Porsche available at the time, weighing some 80kgs less than a regular Boxster S, thanks to the use of aluminium for the doors and rear deck lid, among other weight reduction measures.

I picked up my 718 Spyder today. Does anyone know if there is a specific handbook as I was given a 718 Good to Know which covers all except new GTS and Spyder?

Thanks Brian. We are good thanks. We started off with a win this season and so were really pumped up for challenging for the win in only his second season in Junior Rally, but Covid put a stop to everything. Unlike other forms of motorsport, rallying requiring a navigator falls foul of any restrictions on people from different households mixing and so is the first form of motorsport to stop and the last to return.

Interesting read ..if I where to consider a 718 but doubt would get a slot and have no intention buying another one it would defo be PDK as have experienced it on my new to me 981 Boxster and think it a great box and prefer it to a manual , my daily is also auto and suits me .
