Brighton Hoon Resurection ?

Hi all, just a quick show of hands required here. As you all know, I used to run a little 944 outing to the seaside, Brighton to be precise [8D][:D]!
Well, as I am almost a Porsche owner again, albeit a 968, I got to thinking that I may just organise another Brighton meet in Joon, 2016 if there is enough interest but, this time, make it for all the transaxle cars 924, 928, 944, 968. What say you all? Thumbs up or, Thumbs down?
A brief show of hands would be most appreciated [:)]. Perhaps Mr Mc Nutters would be kind enough to "Magic" this little post onto the other Transaxle sections? If enough people want it, it shall pretty much follow the same pattern as other years, ie a "Burn Up", get poisoned at Brian's Café on Madeira Drive, Brighton, Photo's, commemorative plaque hand out, on to Stanmer Park for the classic car show, maybe a BBQ, defo' stand around drivelling on about Porsche's [8D][:D]!! I can even guarantee a splendidly warm and sunny day! Ok then.....hands up!

I'm up for a jaunt down south. Do I need any injectioms ?

No, but they usually have this yellow round thing in the sky called a 'SUN' so we may need our Factor 30 for us fair haired Northerners :ROFLMAO:

I would be up for a convoy South and an overnight stay if there is enough interest

Hi everyone, thank you all so much for the great response [8D][:D]!! Seems like the Brighton "Hoon in Joon" will be back on next year after a years absence. I will get on the case in the very near future! It is a fun day out Mr Waylander, I'm sure you would approve [;)]! You can even turn up in a 928 [8D]! I will do my best to make it NOT clash with Le mans [:(]! If it does I will try and arrange another weekend so long as there is enough time to give notice to everyone. Does anyone know next years Le Mans dates yet? Terry, I wont have the car until at least end of September when all of my building work is complete and, I can get to my garage but hey, you are more than welcome to come down for the Bank Holiday for a few Jap' Lagers and, I can give your Turbo a run for its money in my T4 [8D][:D]. Colin and our Jock/Northern brethren, the only injections you will need (and get) down here is said Jap' Lager injections [:D][8D]!! Why not a long weekend convoy? Let me know well in advance and I can arrange the accommodation[:)]. Simon, you have to turn up at a meet sometime [:D]. Why not this one? It would be brilliant to see you all and, Brian would love to give you all a dose of the "two bob bits" to take back up North with you[:'(]!! Only kidding! Brian's breakies are legendary down here on the Sarf Coast and, they'll be on the house!! Cant be bad. This may have the making's of a very good meet. Thank you all again for your positive response's [:D].

I would come down Friday and home Monday. Not doing Le mans next year, not because its not a superbe weekend but because we've done two years in a row and we want to do something different. So this will be our boys and cars weekend away ( can Caig bring his 997 ? ) . Also going to arrange a Scottish weekend run over next summer with glorious empty roads and a couple of overnight stays. So if we come down to you then some of you southern types can come up and enjoy a bit of driving nirvana.

I love Jockville Colin and, know it very well. I would defo' have a few days up with you guys next summer [8D]!! Glen and I are talking about maybe "Swerving" Le Mans next year too and, going to the Nurburgring 24hr Rennen. If you haven't been to this one yet mate, you (and Craig) should give it a go. It is a totally mental weekend [8D][:D][8D][:D]!! I would also love to see Craig's 997. Did I tell you that after we got back to Blighty after Le Mans, Glen went out and bought himself a 996 Gt3 [8D]!! It is a lovely bit of kit mate, you should see it! I am so jealous [:'(].....[;)][:D]. He has even joined PCGB!!!

I am rubbish with computers as you all well know [8|]. Would Mr McNulty or, anyone with the right set of IT skills, please post this on the other transaxle sections for me ? Your help in this would be very much appreciated [:)]. I only mean the opening bit, not all the responses. Am I being a bit thick here? [8|]!!

Pete, good to see you back! I thought you had abandoned these parts for good, so it's great that you are cooking up a get-together.

Yes, I'd be up for it. But please publicise the dates well in advance as my weekends book up early.

I notice that this is a Brighton-centric thing. I presume others would be happy to form a convoy of some kind from London (or close environs)?

Oli.
