Yet more USA parts for the webers. All from PMO who I cannot say enough goods word for. Really good tech responses from the boss, richard, email responses inside of 12 hours, all the prices, all the advice and delivered in 2.5 days! Like to see the Brits do that.[8|]

I've been working my raer off on the flippin' thing over the last month and more. The details are incredably time consuming, but i will snap some pics and post. Refreshingly, I can now start to say 'that's done' to several areas, but of course lots yet to do. The finish planned date is mid July 09 as there are 2 Loton hillclimbs then, but 8 weeks seems a push to me. It is increasingly close to calling it a day for the year and come out ready next season, but I hate that 'failure', so I'm bashing on all the time. To do are: Brake lines/pads and bleed. (all of one day + £250) [;)] Wheel refurb or new (?) all of a £1000..[8|] Remainder of the dry sump (£250) one day Finish wiring of the whole car (1 day now)(hate wires) Make seat mount (seat on order, so can be done in 2 weeks time (one day to do it) 6 point harness (£150) Fit up the body (£200 and a weekend of messing) Huge clean of the whole car (one day with the wife) [:)] Full spanner check of the whole car (one day with a good mate who I know I can trust) Full suspension set-up with one who knows his stuff (real race engineer) (long morning, but love chassis work) Full engine set-up at Bob Watson (week without the car) (£ millions [:-]) Buy a very wide trailer (car is fully 74'' wide at the rear!) Prob a Woodford. There, not so bad.[:D] About 2 weeks ago:

Still don't know how to do more than one pic so here are a string of them. I have actually FINISHED the wires on this car.[:)]

I hope to fire the car up in about 3 weeks time when I have the jets for the carbs and the oil feed tube. That is all that stops me know (I think [8|] )

Been a while since my last up-date, so assuming I still have some readers: Dry sump system all done and oil has flowed! Carbs all jetted according to PMO and fuel has flowed to 3 psi pressure. Fixed the leak by doing some of the float drains up tight... Battery in place and all the volts have flowed every where. The new Brise starter wirrrrrres like a good 'un, hence the oil flow.(plugs out) All the brakes are done, but waiting for the special order Green Stuff pads for the huge calipers, but then read to bleed. Clutch all piped, ready to bleed. So: Hoping to fire it up tonight if the lot all works together! [;)]

YES!!!!! THE LOLA PORSCHE RUNS ON ALL 6 AFTER A LITTLE TLC. BLOOD HELL, AFTER ALL THIS WORK IT IS ALIVE! It smells like a 911 now with a heady mix of oil and petrol with some good ol'e CO too. What a milestone. Gary: Matt stopped by 30 mins after we turned it off (kids trying to get to sleep across the way). I'm the little good-looking one:

Graham, Fantastic-Nick & I went over to Harewood Hillclimb on Sat 9th-now considering a project between us to have a go but won't be as special as yours. Will you be competing there & which class would you be in? Keep up the amazing work. Colin.

Will run there next year. I've done it in the subaru, 67 secs in the dry on list 1B tyres. The lola will run in Class G Sports Libre over 2000cc.

ORIGINAL: 911hillclimber I'm the little good-looking one
........and Jim, the big one, is the hero who squeezes into a 2-litre engined Smart to go hillclimbing[8D] They're not all dead yet! Can't wait to see it, Graham. Cheers! JW

Still so much to do, and now the Lola seat is in place, the seat belt mounts are in the wrong place, AND I need a custom made 6 point belt to fit it all in...[8|] Just booked the car into Bob Watson's for the carb tune while I'm away on hols. That will make good use of the holiday time. borrowing a good trailer. I need to get the wheels back (if not scrap) and sort them out first, but Bob is cool about the risk of not turning up. If only I could get the vid clip up on here of it running! Back to stress again, and I can feel July Loton slipping away.[&o]

You can see /hear it running on DDK! No idea how to get a you tube vid on this space. But.. [link=http://www.youtube.com]www.youtube.com[/link] Search for 'Lola T492 first engine run
