Most probably an early next week delivery now. I don't want them to rush it unless they can have it PDI'd and done for tomorrow afternoon.

Dan

Thats really exciting Dan. But I bet they will take over a week to get it ready. But I hope not.

I'm on leave next week Graham and then its off for PPF and ceramic on the 5th. They were pretty quick on getting my current car done in a couple of days but let's see.

Good colour and wheel combination, should be a week in PDI and four days linking My Porsche app.
That new My Porsche really is rubbish isn’t it.

I’ve gone back to the old Porsche Connect app. It might be clunky but it works - and the tyre pressure function is useful

Thanks Ralph. I've seen a few with black wheels and I know it goes against the GTS mantra but they just don't do it for me.

Dan

Did you get those pictures from the app or did you travel to Grimsby and take them yourself? Apologies if it's a daft question but I can't get the app in the Isle of Man? It's great to have all that history with the car.

Neil

The factory photos came from the My Porsche app. The ones of it on the transporter came from my salesman when it arrived at the dealership yesterday.

Dan.

So, Insurance sorted today (Admiral), remainder of the deposit paid (yes I am financing) and GAP sorted through ALA. Confirmed with Staffordshire Car Car that its good to go to them on the 5th for PPF and ceramic so that'll be another 3 days without it but I wouldn't feel comfortable driving the car with no PPF on the front. Zunsport grills are sat in the garage waiting to go on and I've a new dash cam to fit on Thursday afternoon.

Collection is Thursday 31st March... its going to be a looooooong week and my salesman just rubbed salt into the wound,

She’s a looker for sure. One (certainly few) of a kind in that colour combo, but boy does it work. The aventurine really compliments the cars curves and creases well and the silver wheels draw the eye in a way that black ones tend not to. Silver alloys almost look ‘retro’ these days 🤩👍🏻

Got your 6day count-down timer on now then yep? 😉😁

Look forward to the photo of your collection day

Hi Dan,

Because I’d let the GT4 go and I was not sure when the GT3 would come, if at all, I bought this little Italian rear engined, air cooled Classic for a bit of summer fun last weekend. Then I got a call from my dealer on Friday to say that it is pretty much still on schedule...

Epic!! I'd keep both. You'll not loose money on either.

I did contact several OPC wrt buying mine. Wilmslow was the lowest with Chester and Bolton offering good money and I had a look at the chaps you sold your GT4 to but then my OPC came back to me with a price that gave me £9k equity to put towards the GTS. No brainer really.

Is it Thursday yet??

Dan

Collection day yesterday and, as always, the experience was excellent. I really do like the theatrics of unveiling and having a dedicated handover bay. Much better than having the keys thrown at you in the forecourt. I'm very very happy with the colour and wheel choice and the noise..... well lets just say I don't think my grumpy neighbour will be be impressed when it starts up at 0400 in a morning :ROFLMAO:.

The journey home was quite nice if I'm honest. I'm really impressed with the PASM -20mm. It not hard or crashy and speed bumps do not pose a problem, plus the stance is just right. My wife even commented that the ride was better than in the Base!!

Once home, all my bits were put back into place and a new dashcam fitted. Today is exhaust polishing day so I'll brave the cold and get my old DA polisher out and head on underneath to shine up the bits of metal no-one sees apart from me and the Porsche technicians. PPF and ceramic confirmed for Monday.

My old Cayman is already on the Porsche approved website for £10 less than I paid for it almost 2 years ago.

Anyway, some photos from yesterday.

Dan,

You were obviously very excited "Once home, all my bits were put back into place"

Car looks very nice and a great colour, a sticky front plate?

Ralph

Ha Ha. Thanks Ralph. I did try to control myself but, you know how it is!!

Sticky front plate is in the boot. I'll get my Detailer to put it on once the PPF has been fitted.

Dan

Congrats, a long time coming - Aventurine looks even better in the photos than the configurator suggests 🤩

great plate number 😁. I bought ‘GT54 TOY’ in prep for mine back in January 😉

wishing you many happy miles of motoring 👍🏻
