My Turbo might be for sale!

Noooooooo!!!!!!!

Don't do it - you're the only other guy with Bilsteins on here! [:(]

From the few pictures I've seen,
and all the talk of it on the forum, it's surely one of the best around.
Don't let it go for peanuts!

Still, rationality has nothing to do with cars.
If it feels right, do it!

Well, at the risk of being called a heretic, I think swapping out for a 964 is a brilliant idea and I await with interest to hear how you get on. Trouble is that there are probably plenty of scruffy ones out there to trip up over before you find a gem.

Meanwhile, good luck with the sale.

Nick

I think the price is bang on - but you may take a while to sell. I don't think there are many people shopping for well kept 951's

Most people looking for 951's seem to want to pay 3-4k (and then will end up spending more than that to get the cars halfway decent).

If you're tempted to give it away for silly money let me know before you do [:D]

Sure Ed, just don't go holding your breath! [;)]

I think £8250 is a BARGAIN Nick

I may have it at that price as a track day car and keep mine as the sunday drive[:D]

A very very very nice car and I think you will see a grown man cry when it sells[:)]

It MUST be silly season..???[8|][8|]
Are you feeling ok Nick.????
Who have you been talking too.?????
Has your misses put something in your drink.????
Have you got "bored" of it.???

If you sell. Im pretty sure youl regret it....+ As you well know youl poss not find another as good for a LONG time...

Now if youd said you wanted a 968, then idve understood..968,s being the Evolution of the "species",,,, BUT a 964.??????????

I think you need to drive it this weekend - that will help you snap out of it [;)]

- and preferably drive it back to back with a 964

[FONT=Arial"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]Been a passive reader of your posts over the months and have a similar aged car without the mods [:)] Don't do it - evolution stopped at the 944T [;)]

Can I refer my learned friend to his post, number 24, on this thread:

Nick, without putting too fine a point on it ... are you feeling OK? It's been sunny today; have you spent a little too long outside, not in the shade?

Oli.

The 964 was bound to end up being regarded as a mongrel, but its my favourite 911... That said; Id still do all that I could to keep the 951 too, because most of them are in a pretty poor state now, if you look hard enough and in the right places and a good replacement will be elusive...

Just been for a drive, big mistake, massive, humungous one.......!

Do love this car, but......

Oli, could you lend me £10k on an interest free 25 yr term? No, oh well, worth a try!!![;)]

In the 964 ? Is it a car local I'll know Nick ? PM me if you'd prefer - I know how paranoid one can get about someone swooping in when looking at a prospective purchase ! haha, been there !

No, not local car Mike - had a initial offer accepted subject to inspection. Having a look at it on a ramp this coming week, so we shall see!

I have someone interested in my car and have sent him some pics - again, we shall see!

Buyers kidding themselves that these are rare, desirable and valuable cars are in a minority, thankfully.

I have to say I would be tempted, seeing them racing in PCGB championship it is clear how much grunt the 964 has, they really fly on the straights. At the moment they seem to be the cheaper in many cases then a really puka 3.2 and much cheaper then the 993 but it may be decent bet that in time they will become sought after as the in between car, more modern then the 3.2 and thus more liveable but still with enough of the 911 feeling?

You are not going get that money back, and surely any potential buyer will be put off by all the non standard crap that you have stuck on it?

You just don't seem to be able to resist having a go do you James? [8|]

I think he's jealous Nick - as we know, apart from anything else, ours is one of the best colour combos.

Looking forward to having my non standard crap KW's etc fitted on Tuesday [8D] [:D]
