New Carrera T Order

Well that turned out to be quite a thread Simon - very interesting to read the PCCB comments but I think you chose well. So how did you manage to wangle three visits to the PEC already?

Thanks. Hopefully I won't come to regret my decision to pass on the PCCBs and rear-axle steering. [8|]

PEC visit number 1 was when I bought my Macan in 2016. Visit number 2 was when I bought my Panamera last year. Visit number 3 will be courtesy of my order for the new Carrera T. [:)]

Last year, I took my 21 year old daughter and we split the session. I drove a Panamera and then Emma took a 718 Boxster for a spin! It's a great experience and the food is very good too!

It is a fantastic venue.

In 2018, we plan to replicate 2017's "bring your own car" day when the Club hires the whole PEC facility for members for a day. Driving my own car around the handling circuit last year with a top instructor was huge fun and very educational. Controlling a full on drift on the kick plate was pretty cool too. Sign up as soon as it is promoted, it is bound to be a sell out.

You definitely should. Worth it many times over for the 10% discount you will get on your new car.

[:D]

(If only!)

Now that would be a club worth joining!! :ROFLMAO:

Can one choose the region that one joins. My choice would be the region that meets nearest to my home (Swindon) but when I joined first time around, I was 'put with' a region whose meeting place was a lot further away.

Cheers,

Simon

Yeah, as dyllan says, that’s fine. Easiest way would be to join by ringing the Clubhouse directly and speak with Maxine or Chris Sweeting either of whom would be happy to assist.

Looking forward to hearing more on the 911T purchase, one of these really appeals as the next rung on my Porsche ladder, just need to find some money down the back of the sofa...

Hi Fudgie.

Rest assured, I'll post lots of pics, and my early impressions when my 911T arrives.

CP08 date is currently quoted as 20th March, so likely collection will be early April I'm hoping.

Cheers,

Simon

Hi Rob.

Re-joined yesterday and looking forward to a coffee morning with R31 tomorrow.

Cheers,

Simon

Thanks Simon, rest assured I'll be salivating over the pics, might even have to swap region from R16 to get a closer look in the metal... surely living in Tetbury counts me in at R31... [;)]

Enjoy the coffee morning. Alan and Fiona run the region really well. Hope you have a good time.

Had a courtesy call from my Porsche Centre on Friday, my spec is locked down now and we are still on target for a March delivery. Hurrah!!

Thanks, Rob. And that's great news about your incoming Carrera T! [:)]

No worries about the unhappy bank account then?-couldn't get a more public outing of 911T purchase after the Porsche Post article and association with ladie's[;)] shoes!
