New members welcome and photos

Thanks, indeed they are lovely cars and a lot of fun to drive too. I'm going to try and come to some of the club events this year, I'm based in Wiltshire and see club HQ is only down the road from me so I hope to meet you there.

Welcome and that is a cracker! It would appear you may have timed that well, indications are that 996 and 997 prices are surging upward :)

A few weeks ago I part exchanged my black 997.2 coupe for a midnight blue 997.2 cabriolet.

And last night I brought my wife a new toy to keep it company.

I've had a few of them now.

Thanks chaps,

The last time my wife had a Boxter we had matching paint.

It's not quite the same now. I knew I should have looked for a Basalt cab instead of Midnight Blue.

Just a hello, have recently purchased a 2008 997 C2S, not had much of a chance to put miles on it yet but those I have are good. I am in the Inverness area so hello also on Region 2 forum.

Hi all.

Purchased a C2S (part exchanging my 968 sport).

After driving a 911 I learnt what all the fuss was about [:)]

Welcome to 997.1 ownership its great fun. I'm about 10 months into mine having started my search for a Porsche thinking the 968 would be the car for me but ended up with a similar car to you, a Basalt Black C2S.

Thank you ‘first timer’.

Whilst i I really enjoyed my 968, and it is a great drive, it is very much a ‘classic car’ compared to the 911 experience.

I’d knew I’d be swapping within the first mile !
