Hi All Thanks to Jon for the idea - I had a great day and I hope everyone else did. I'm like Mas - no good with names! I have put some low rez pics here [link]http://s787.photobucket.com/albums/yy158/A9XXC/944%20Rutland%20Meeting/[/link] If anybody wants full size (3mb ish) pics let me know. Looking forward to meeting all again soon - like Marks idea for a picnic! Mike

That'll be the Cotswold Rally, then! [:D] One of the most popular events every year, and always plenty of 944s turn out. It may well be sold out now, I did warn you [&:], but if you'd like to book it give Geoff a try and see if there are any places left.

Good to meet up with you all, didn't stay for lunch but had a good time chatting in the car park & the car had a good run to get it all properly warm. [;)]

Great to meet you all, and what a turn out of cars! I think 15 was very impressive for the time of year, and weather, and the fact this was such an informal meet. I'll be on the cotswold rally (no 17) and also at prescott on the sunday. The club visit to Curborough also looks tempting! Also, discovered a great driving road on the way home, the B664 Uppingham to Market Harborough. I came to Rutland via Corby on the A roads, which are good roads but very busy, however this is about 10 miles of perfect twisty, bendy, hilly road, not another car in site, motly national speed limit, other than the villages, and some amazing views.

Great to meet everyone, old and new faces alike and fine turnout (if a tad of the cold side !) Great to see such a variety of cars. [:)]

Yes a great few hours with some excellent cars and friendly company. I'm thinking a very similar day, with a few driving events and perhaps a barbi, might just be club 944 nevana! I think that was more or less what Peter was looking at organising right? Some good piccies also. Mike, I really like this pic in the link below (last in your album) and would appreciate a bigger one if at possible? Thanks. A lot less standing round and oohing and aaaring than usual with the nippy weather but great to see the faces I know and a few I didn't. A nice looking car park. Gutted I didn't get a car in time for this one! Felt all the worse driving the Polo home after seeing so much tasty metal. Definitely see you guys again soon. It's been too long. I'm rather interested i the Prescot Hill climb. Will have to check out the dates and get a car!!!

Hi all just want to say thanks for letting me come along today, really enjoyed it!! nice to meet you all, i hope to come along to future events, pictures are looking great!! Cheers, Elliot

Never mind the reddun Ben I see you posted a shot of ' The Dark Side ' , what a dangerous looking threesome if ever I saw one [8D]

It's great to see so many cars at this time of year [:)] Must say a big thankyou to Mark K for letting me drive his stripped out blue beastie. Wow it is like a living thing, you can hear and feel everything - losing all that weight has transformed the car. I was also very impressed with the GAZ remote canister shocks, even though they had 900 lb springs up front I have to say it was incredibly well damped and was only crashy and uncomfortable when crawling over speedbumps. It will be fantatstic on track [8D]

Great to see you all for my first 944 meet, some nice cars there. I think I need to move up to a turbo in the future and probably a black one at that! Pub was jolly tasty, amazing how we all seemed to fit into somewhere that looked pretty packed. Paul I noticed that your drivers side break light was out as you left the car park.
