Not enough time for many pics - had to be out on track. Thanks again to ChrisW, Tim Arnold, Steve Brookes and especially Stuart MR968!
Thank's Paul!
And thank you Chris for trusting me (again) to take Paul and Stuart for rides in your car! It was shame Paul only experienced a ride on the 'wooden' four-year old Pillot's in the morning causing it to understeer like a Russian oil tanker! I was barley able to hold off a GT3RS!! It was a different car on its new 888's in the afternoon... when I drove it with Stuart in the passenger seat then only thing I saw in the mirrors was the stuff I'd just passed... which was quite a lot!

Jason, that's not Chris's car, it's the other blue one that was in the garage two doors down from us (look at the wheels!). I don't think anything passed Chris all day (I might be wrong because I was only in it with him as a passenger for one session in the morning - I don't remember anything passing us then), and when I gave Stuart a ride in the afternoon on the new rubber the thing just went away from everything.

Tim you sound like a racing driver on a track day!I thought you guys had left your handbrake on when i went by![]
What a great day
Keep a eye on next years 2 day event, with the rally course for driver tuition and play time on a slow but fun bit of tarmac.

The dunlops last a long time, the front tires have done a road drive to magnycour, thrashed around the circuit and back, then spa 2 day and back, then N/ring 2 days and back and now oulton. The rears i changed for the ring purely incase it was wet with max tread. They are good in the wet,but not as good as toyos in the wet,but dry will run rings around the toyos.
Important part is correct set up to get the best out of the tires.

What a great day
Hahaha [] I probably do Paul! [] I am! [] Oh that would be nearly right (the handbrake)! I can remember you passing on the straight once on the run down to Hizzy's when we were on an in/cooling down-lap; Chris likes his car to do a slow lap to cool at the end of each run! []
It was a great day! And nice to see you again after a couple of years or so! []

Enjoy the fun cup
Ian's wife (Pia) posting here on his behalf. Some of you might have noticed that he disappeared around 1-ish in the afternoon yesterday at Oulton. He suddenly felt unwell and was taken to hospital in Crewe. He's now in hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and has been 'fixed', but probably won't be home for a few days. His darling car, however, is still at Oulton Park. I have spoken to the track manager, who has been great and is happy for the car to stay there for a few more days. Ian was wondering if Melvin Spear could call me (01932 590101) to see if he can arrange to have the car picked up or alternatively if he could help me find someone else who can do car transporting. Sorry to ask this here, but I am at a bit of a loss as to how to get the car from Oulton to Surrey! Poor Ian is not allowed to drive for 4 weeks!!! (Not a happy bunny).
Thanks in advance for any help

Yeah, thanks, I'm sure we will enjoy the Funcup races! I just noticed there are some pics of me in one last week on Scott's website... I've just emailed him to buy some so I'm sure he won't mind me posting this copyrighted sample taken at Hizzy's...

Paul those Dunlops were great....who do you use to supply them? Oh and I want a MUCH closer look at that Mil Sub next time! Gutted we didn't win the raffle for your place....we came down with the family two years ago to a wedding in the old hotel at Symonds Yat and I went to the wrong side of river and ended up at your pursuits centre! (you weren't there..I asked!). Scenery down there is breathtaking...wife would have bitten my hand off.
Hope Ian is ok....he sounds dodgy[:'(]
