Porsche Spotting

Saw about 5 944's at the 'ring this weekend, all with the gts type lights, looks really cool. All German registered.
Also a nice 928 gts in full track day/race kit.
Saw 3 968's all uk cars lots of 911's and a red lux in winnersh today.
For once I was in the 944, only managed a quick wave as it was on a corner.

Will be driving from Burford to Cirencester then Cirencester to Warwick along the Fose Way for a drive tomorrow morning so will keep a close eye out!

black s2 on m80 into glasgow, was in the golf at the time. did a bit of lanehopping at join to m8 tut tut ;p

reg gxi 944 iirc

A white S2 cabriolet waiting in the queue for Guildford recycling centre (the tip?) yesterday. Roof up, but the sun was out, tut, tut.

I see a Guard Red 1985 944 everyday as it lives 100yds away from my 1983 Alpine White 944 and to get to our Close you need to pass another Red one, which has no No plate and has only moved up and down the drive in 3 years! Was in good nick then and I think on a 'B'.

Also within 1/2 mile there are 2 more white ones, one with white teles the other with red ones (mines on black cookie cutters) all are regularly used.

None of them want to join the club though!

Mike

The Red one on the route in now has a No plate - it is B reg but I'm sure it not the same as before.

Alpine white 1983 944 - needing new shocks!

Red 944 or S2 or Turbo on the M53 going towards Chester at around 4.40pm ish today. Looked very nice[:D]

Parked next to a lovely reddish/purple S2 in the Fairfield car park in Croydon last week. In lovely condition. Made a bit of a nuisance of myself looking it over - any passerby probably thought I was going to nick it. [8|]

Edit - apparently its Ruby Stone!

Red 944 not turbo or S2 on M1 in roadworks J26 ish 30/4/09 9.00ish am

Black Turbo parked by Daggers Hall Lane in Blackpool on Tuesday - 16:30 ish.

That one is always there, I think I've posted it on here before but never got a response.

Oh, and there was a white 944 on a C plate with teledials in the open air car park behind the Meadows Shopping Centre in Chelmsford tonight.

Zermatt silver Turbo in Preston Park this afternoon and a blue lux complete with toast rack in Arundel this morning. Both parked up and both looking very clean. As usual wasn't in the 944.

Saw a black S2 / Turbo heading West on the M62 near Manchester at 14:30 today.

That could have been me bringing my new toy home from Yorkshire to Warrington

If it had gunmetal coloured Design 90's then its a safe bet it was.....

We were going in opposite directions so the whole thing was over with a couple of seconds or so, but I do remember that the wheels were darker than mine, so I guess it was you!

I was in my Mondeo, so there's no way you'd have spotted me. Anyway, enjoy the new toy [:D]

hiya scott, great to hear of so many older cars on the road, where i live in east london/essex borders, i am always seeing 2/3 944 and a 928s and this within a square mile of home,if you venture on to the a12 or the infamous a13 [traffic police use evo8/9] on the way to southend on any sat or sun you would see many posches of all different ages, as time goes by it feels like many more older cars appear to be on the road apart from the usual pre2000 911s, i am seeing lots of 944s,928s,968s[not as many as other models], for me its our old models that always catch my eye but thats only my personal opinion, happy driving scott, regards jsason p

Very shiny what looked like Red 44 S with toast rack rear diffuser parked in a drive in Hoylake on the Wirral opposite the golf course.

Looked very nice indeed. Had "BEKS" in the number plate[:D]
