Porsche Spotting

Spotted by my missus who rushed to tell me on her arrival home ( good girl ! )

'Pale Green' B reg 944 on the A120 near Little Hadham this lunch time

Asked the missus did she flash or wave to which she replied
" I'd feel well stupid if I did that I was in the T5 " . I told her that doesnt matter waving at a 944 is compulsery [8D]

great to meet you on here Riverside!
I guess you are local then? Have you ever used any of the local garages for any work?
Also, have you spotted the red lux on the road out of Heage, and the other red lux, on the Derby road just after you've passed through Duffield heading into town?

There's GM Clements (Bodyshop) in Ripley where I had my sills done, I've used him a few times now & he's a superb fabricator. As for servicing after trying various specialist & non specialist garages over the years I now take my car to Promax 90 miles away[8D] That's about as much as I'd like to say about my experiences with garages closer to me [;)]

I see a red lux occasionally, and a blue S2 (which I think has been sold on now). tbh I give a cheery 'nice car mate' thumbs up to any car I like the look of, not just Porsches.

I saw 3 last night all in the space of 15 minutes.

A purple convertible on the A25 into Dorking at about 5.30, then a red Lux going in the opposite direction moreorless at the same time and then approaching leatherhead I saw the same blue lux, with cookies that I saw in the summer in guildford.

I wasn't in mine at the time!

A Lux left hooker at Village Coachworks, Ripley (the one in Surrey) having its sills done.

Quite a few.

There is a white 2.7 parked in Campion, Leamington Spa. I used to park my S2 near it when I worked there.

Also in the list is a white S2 convertible by the Shires Retail Park in Warwick when I was going back home a month ago.

Last week on Friday I saw a tidy pale green C Reg '44 going down the A45 past the Peugeot dealership.

Just worked out that the number plate was MDF144.

I've seen two today. One black on a G plate coming out of Neptune industrial estate, Rochester at about 13:00 and a red turbo (Personalised plate) overtake me on the outside of the tight left handed turn back on its self exit from the M25 to the M40 going towards London at about 18:00

Hmm that has to be me although the number is WDF144 and that is one of my fav corners too that I use most nights so I was probably overtaking everything....:)

I'm guessing you weren't in your 944 Jason as i would have remembered if you was.....[8D][8D]

I found a little rear-engined friend when I popped into Sywell Airfield for a coffee whilst waiting for my lad attending a Birthday party in Kettering, couldn't find it's owner though

Hi Pete,

Yes it would have been you (My typing error). I was in my intergalatic Passat at the time. Your right, you cruised past everyone on the outside, very flat and very stable

Has your car been lowered? Also what tyres do you have fitted? I'm in the process of planning necessary and nice to have works for next year and looking at all the items I can do. Subject to wife approval ;-)

Do you attend local club meets?

Regards

Jason

Why do you always see other 944s when you're driving the daily grind mobile. Saw a nice G reg silver grey 944S2 this morning travelling north on the M5 between Weston-s-Mare and Clevedon around 8.15am. Also D reg black 944 in Homebase carpark on Sunday in Weston. Sure is nice to know mine isn't the only one in the area (apart from Steve's in Clevedon of course).

Hello

Well as I pulled into the car park of Snow and Rock in Newcastle at the Metro Centre at 11am ish this morning a very clean 44 came out of the same car park.

Looked very nice. Was a Red Turbo with colour coded bridge spoiler and what looked like Cup 3 alloys[:D]

Made me want to drive mine more

Hi Jason

Yes the car is lowered , has yellow koni adjustables all round and runs on Good Year F1 tyres.. oh and don't mention wife approval just in case my wife get's the wrong idea....:)

Pete

PS hope I didn't cover you in too much smoke...lol

Nice red Lux two cars in front of me in Broughton Road, Edinburgh on Thursday.

I was in the filthy black S2 behind you (well I had done 1500 rain soaked miles last week [:D]) It's clean and shiney again now though

Also not a 944 (apparently other models are available) but a very nice "911" don't know which version but it looked like a newish GT3 in white traveling south on the M5 in Devon and eventually turned off A38 towards Torquay. Car was on a personal plate (at the back at least as couldn't see his front one) which I believe was J9N W R. Thought he'd find it strange if I waved from my A6 so just drooled instead.
