It's a 944 meeting. Everyone is, of course, welcome; but in previous years those not in 944s (me included on occasion) have courteously parked separately to preserve the spirit of the event.
They specialise in rather nice cars of all sorts including Porsches and have a pretty special 944.
I'll be going, if anybody else is interested please let me know asap - A9XXC@aol.com or 07811944953 - for tea and cake purposes!

Forecast is dry, light wind, light cloud and 10c... so it depends on which set of tyres you want to be kicked, Roger....(hoping you get the joke)....924Srr27l said:What's the Forcast looking like ? R888's or Michelin Pilots?

Follow Mike on a back road route to Rutland Water.
Arrive at Rutland Water (Whitwell Harbour) at 10:45am-ish https://www.google.co.uk/...66b:0x6a1b29459bbec63e
We have dedicated parking on the waterfront (Labelled 1 on the map below) which we normally move to and take a photo. This is a pedestrian area so we've been requested to drive at crawl speed with hazard lights on. We will all have to pay the normal parking charge (take a ticket from the entry barrier and pay at the machines). There is space for 20-30 cars (if it looks like there will be more on the day we can change to use the second parking area, as we did last year).
There is no formal lunch arrangement. Please stay as long as you wish and as long as the weather holds up. There is a cafe on site which will be serving food and refreshments (for us and the general public as well). Several of us will be around until the early afternoon at least.
It's possible to bring a BBQ if you wish... we have to comply with the rules below.
BBQ’S
We do allow park users to bring BBQ’s on site. If you or your group are to use a BBQ please ensure
adequate distance from vehicles and be in an open grassed area. Please use a BBQ that is off the ground and
is constantly manned when lit. Please also ensure the BBQ is away or cornered off from people and Public
walk routes and children are kept away from playing around this area. Please also ensure that all rubbish is
disposed of after use and that any hot hash is cool and put out before disposal. We also have BBQ stands
around Whitwell to be used with throw away BBQ. No Throw away BBQ are to be used on the ground
(ALL BBQ’S OFF THE GROUND).

It was good to reunite with a fellow ex Titanic member who also participated in the 'Dyno runs', those were the days.....Rutland was good even if the weather tried to dampen our spirits a little, we prevailed. It was dry for the drive home after visiting Cariconics, I made full use of the nice country roads. SWMBO made some comment about me 'coming alive'...the car tends to have that affect on me....
Good day guys...thanks to Rob and Mike....

Out of curiosity; what is the thick blue hose on the top right of the picture for? (The one going into the hole wher the carbon canister would be).
Come to think of it, what's the vacuum line that goes behind the FPR and clutch fluid reservoir and down the inner wing for too?
Thanis.
