Thanks Max, I'll see you tomorrow morning all going well. I'll keep my eye's peeled for you...I'm kinda hoping it's going to rain as I've not had chance to clean the car yet!!

Nooooo.. no rain, I've just spent the last few days getting the car presentable.....yes I know the forecast....:(

All being well I'll be at South Mimms in the morning.....

Pete

Out of curiosity; what is the thick blue hose on the top right of the picture for? (The one going into the hole wher the carbon canister would be).

Come to think of it, what's the vacuum line that goes behind the FPR and clutch fluid reservoir and down the inner wing for too?

Thanis.

The large hose going through the passenger wing goes to the oil catchment tank which is in the same location of where the carbon canister used to be, that was surplus to requirements and in fact was disconnected many years ago. The other smaller hose vents the fuel tank, this drops down very low below the windscreen washer bottle and has a filter fitted on the end.

cheers

Pete

Thanks Pete.

I've got an oil catch can fitted where the air con receiver dryer used to be but it has a pipe in and out rather than venting to atmosphere.

Interesting about the tank vent hose - the PO had removed them from mine and I can't see them underneath or find out where they exit at the rear as I was going to plonk a filter on the end too.

I'll keep looking!

Hi Guys

Great to see so many brave the rather dismal, if not downright wet, weather!

Thanks for all coming over.

Hope the run from Peterborough was ok, at least we didn't have to use much of the A1, and that was only because of the closed road. It might have saved another layer of mud though....

Thanks must go to Stephen and Daniel Gannon at Car-Iconics for the invitation to see the superb cars in their ownership and care (and the tea and cakes!) . I called in there earlier in the week and Stephen was concerned that there weren't enough Porsches, I did say that what they had would just fine with the people I knew were coming.......

More than "just fine", Mike. It was a wonderful and esoteric collection of cars that I thoroughly enjoyed looking at.
