Something i have been working on!

Clutch took 10.2 hours in total test drove it with the guy that fitted, its heavier and slightly more juddery if you pull away gently with not alot of revs but you can drive around it,it feels more grippy so fingers crossed i can dump it a bit more getting off the line...I have a pic of it somewhere when it was in its box somewhere..its gone up to EMC in Birmingham for a pre race check and have its Air con pulled out....

We spoke to Porsche and they enquired with Germany about the Turbo "cup" clutch it is no longer available, the clutch we put it in a Sachs uprated item,i will get back to you on how much it cost..

Mark at some point near the start of this post you said your car was fitted with wheel spacers, do you know the size of them?

Sorry the kit came from EMC motorsport,Kevin told me I needed spacers I just nodded and they went on,they look perfect,my red car looks a bit thin in comparison cause the wheels are so far inside the arches on the red,it looks wrong to me now!I reckon it drives better at the front end with less understeer with the spacers aswell..

Did you fit spacers on front and rear? I love the blakc wheels, think I am going to copy you and do the same with my ones.

Thanks Neil, just got back, what a race!! so difficult, found Brands incredibly technical,Qualified 4th on the grid great start got up to 3rd position only to get hunted down by the big boy racers so much more race savey than me,finished 5th overall 3rd in class, track was horrendous in quali with wet and oil dropped by a 928,all over the joint and i reckon that wobbled me for the race (excuse[:D]!)the new clutch is a revalation plus for the next one i am changing to a free flow exhaust..really enjoying this its very very addictive [:)]The guys at EMC were as cool as ever they really know their race stuff and how everything works..Anglesey next!

Hey Mark

What date is the Anglesey one, may pop along not far for me.

Cheers

Lee

Sounds fantastic! I'm very jealous still very well done for finishing competitively, no excuses needed in my opinion. First season, unfamiliar track and some of these guys will know every corner like an old friend. You cant compete with someone who's spent a lot of time at the circuit no matter how good you are.

[:D]!Was a lot of fun,a bit tired today!Anglesey is weekend after next, never been there in my life!!because of this expectations of a good result fairly low but i am after the signatures on my license upgrade card so i can race at Spa,thats the main aim for me and the car this year.Think i had better take the passenger seat out now[:D]

Hi Mark

Is it the CSCC Future Classics Series your racing in on the saturday at Anglesey 22nd May.

Lee

Anglesey is on Sat 22nd May,like i said i have never seen it before so expectations are realistic!

Some pics from the weekend at Brands Indy with the CSCC

I might just bob up to the Anglesey race, never been there myself and need to put some miles on the car - seems a good enough excuse [:D]

Wicked....

I wouldnt lay all the balme at that 928's door for the il on the track... running after those clapped out motors from the 60's cant have helped!! [:)][:)]

Im an angelsey virgin as well.... so finishing is the aim... and then its having a rest until the RING!!!!!!!!!!!! [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

...if it survives that then I'll do Spa as well. then hang up the keys and put her to bed in the garage until my daughter's tall enough to drive.

Beetle...Done!

You may already know, but just a quick heads up re Road works on way to Anglesey Race Weekend.

If you are planning on using the A55 there are road works down to one lane at St Asaph and the
Radio One Big Weekend Festival is on at Bangor and there are 40,000 people from the surrounding area
on their way down for the festival. May be a good idea to keep your eye on road conditions, as that one
lane closure in semi busy times causes a 30 min plus delay ( times that by 1,000 more cars!!!!!!).

I will be using the A5 Oswestry to Betws Y Coed road if I make it out for a peek to the track.

Cheers

Lee

Thanks Lee,i am heading over on thursday afternoon pm,would be great to see you if you come by, look for a big yellow lorry in the Paddock i will be parked next to it[:)]
