South coast Cayman Register Members informal get together?

With sincere regret, I'm now a "non attendee"...wifey has pulled rank (she's got an all day event up North somewhere so I'm now at home minding the fort). If the Cayman tech chap is there, please give him a grilling (in a nice way!) re the usual pressing issues / concerns we all share from time to time. Hopefully catch you all at the next gig. Cheers
It's a shame you can't attend, hope to see you next time.

Hi,

I am new to the club and based in Wiltshire. I'd like to come and say hello, I currently have a 987 Cayman S but should hopefully be picking up a 981 GTS on Saturday from Porsche Swindon. It sounds like a nice excuse for a Sunday drive!

Mike.
Welcome to the club Mike. As you said, a nice excuse for a Sunday drive in your new 981 GTS. I'll add you to the list of attendees.

I had in mind to spend time outside with our cars rather than sitting at a table, and those who do want to sit at a table will probably only need the place for a short time. There are bound to be other tables available and I don't want to reserve too many places in case some people can't attend or others don't want breakfast. Comments?

Im afraid I’m going to have to pull out of this event. My beloved Cayman S was involved in an accident on the motorway today and will probably be written off, luckily everyone was ok.

Words can’t describe how gutted I am, but to keep things positive, I look forward to meeting you all soon once all is sorted on the insurance side and I’ve found another Cayman S.

Enjoy Sunday

Greg

I’m very sorry to hear about your car Greg, I know it was a good one with an excellent spec which will be hard to match - glad you’re ok though.

Andrew,

Apologies but I had hoped to make Sunday but now can't make it. Have a great time.

Neil

The weather looks promising for our informal get together on Sunday 1st July so I've reserved an outside table for 10 people from about 09:00 until 10:30, other un-reserved tables will be available outside and inside plus there is the option of a 'takeway' service which should allow us to munch, slurp, and natter, by our cars.

I hope we'll find sufficient parking close to the Aero Club which is on the left just inside the circuit entrance (not through the tunnel). Here’s a Google Maps link which may help https://goo.gl/maps/8TtXkPSJrU42.

I look forward to seeing you there, please look out for me in my Aqua blue 987.2 S.

Looking forward to the morning 👍🏻

Been trying to improve my car photography, so have added a page to my photoblog - Have a look here... https://namesnnumbers.blog/porscheclubgbr23/

If any of you want to pull your car to one side in the morning and have me shoot a few images to edit/post and let you have copies, feel free to come and grab me. I'll be the bald bloke with a camera 😉.

Sorry folks, an influx of outlaws precludes my attendance. Have a super breakfast and catch you next time.

Hopefully you’ll be able to make it next time.

Anyone know if a MailChimp was sent out to Cayman Register owners if so I never received one ?

Also might be interested in a meet more in the Hertfordshire/ Essex area in the future maybe a few CRs thrown in as well.

Cheers Cliff.

Just a quick thanks for the chance to meet up this morning. Super drive there - 105 miles and I was first there (and great journey back strangely!)... great spread of enthusiasts and healthy conversations. Nice to also see the Boxster, BMW 2002 Convertible, E-Type and Diablo.... Thanks again, hope to meet up again. Andy

Great informal get together at Goodwood & a very nice Breakfas!!

Well organised Andrew T, look forward to the next one!
