South coast Cayman Register Members informal get together?

Anyone know if a MailChimp was sent out to Cayman Register owners if so I never received one ?

Also might be interested in a meet more in the Hertfordshire/ Essex area in the future maybe a few CRs thrown in as well.

Cheers Cliff.

Hello Cliff, yes, Kevan did send out a MailChimp email for me as well as mentioning the meeting in his most recent Porsche Post Cayman Register report - I think that both of those things generated forum contributions from at least 15 people who hadn't responded to my original post.

Andrew.

Thank you to everyone who made it to Goodwood today, people travelled from as far and wide as Beaconsfield, Swindon and the Isle of Sheppey so I say a special 'thank you' to you.

By my reckoning I was expecting 20 attendees but someone told me there were 23 Caymans there so that added to the fantastic turnout. We were fortunate to have such fine weather, plenty of car parking to ourselves, and plenty of space in the Aero Club Cafe.

I think most of you said you'd like to do it again sometime, and a few venues were suggested. Just keep watching this forum.

I hope you all had good journeys home, somehow I found myself leading a Porsche convoy of a 911 and two Boxsters all the way from Petersfield to Winchester.

Here's a picture I took but I'm really looking forward to seeing those taken by Rob Bannister!

Hi Andrew.

I never received any Mailchimp

All my details are correct so will have to look into it.

Cheers Cliff.

Good morning Andrew,

Many thanks for arranging the informal meet at Goodwood yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyable, and please count me in for any further get togethers.

Kind regards,

Trevor MacDonald Bennett (White GTS)

Yes, many thanks, Andrew, for making the day happen. It was great to have a day devoted to the 'little brothers' of the Porsche range. Good weather, good setting, good company.

And what about the little dog with the goggles!!!

Best wishes,

Alan

Thanks for arranging the event Andrew. It was great to see so many Caymanites together and at a good location for parking (and breakfast!). I presume the Lambo owner has now gone off to order his Cayman too?

Regards,

Tony

Thank you Andrew, a really good idea. And the weather smiled upon us. Look forward to a similar gathering. Phil.

I haven't a clue how to drop a photo onto our club pages. Why can't you just go into your photo's on the computer and simply transfer the image?

I am a member of another club and it's another nightmare. You have to join photo bucket and the like and import and then export. When you have joined these third parties do your photo's remain exposed to the whole world?

Brexit import/export is simpler than this.

Ray

Following on from the Brooklands get together, if any other member wishes to organise some kind of event please get in touch and I will assist if possible, Mailchimp usually works and some get messages they don't really want but it's a club and tries to reach all, I can't break it down to areas and as Andrew said some came from further away than expected. If anyone knows a Porsche related business they may like to have an open event probably a morning or afternoon, I did one to Centre Gravity some years ago which got a good turnout and there are lots of specialists who have interesting workshops, probably in your areas.

If you hit the "Reply" button, you get the Quick Reply dialogue box which has a "Help with including photos in your post" link - click on this and you can create a link to an external image hosting site,

OR

after "Quick Reply" text at top of the Quick Reply dialogue box you can see "(Open Full Version)" - click on this and you will see Four icons to the top right - the second of these is "Attach Images" which opens up a new dialogue box with the choice of:

"Image URL" (create link to external image hosting site) as explained above AND

"From Gallery Upload" which allows you to upload to the Club's site images on your albums or computer (I always use compute if I use the Gallery Upload method.

Easy really although why the Club fails to provide a useful help section is beyond me.

So Ray, get loading....

Really sorry I didn't make this in the end..but it was my daughters birthday and my wife 'guilt-tripped' me into family day!.

Nevertheless will be on Circuit @ Goodwood tomorrow... hope to see some of you then?

Sorry but life is too short to work out how to upload photos to this website. Iā€™ve given up. Nevever had this trouble before, I think the file is too big.

Adrian, every time I figure it out things get changed or it seems that way!

Congratulations on a successful get together, who is doing the next one?
