So where and when? These forums seem very cliquey sometimes, ref the previous 2 contributions - nothing to do with the subject.

But then a forum is an on line conversation. The subject is liable to meander, as it has now with reference to your comment. I don't think that is indicative of it being cliquey.

Now if Keith was to say "15th April at the usual place" that would be cliquey as it exclude anyone who hadn't been before.

I assume we will be meeting at the usual place Keith? [;)]

Then it would clash with the Tipec AGM [;)]

Busy time of year.

However, given the choice of sitting in a room or enjoying one of the truly GREAT 944 days out of the year, I certainly know what my preference would be ... There's something about that first pint on a Sunday at that particular pub near the sea front that REALLY appeals .....

Any other ideas/venues/suggestions/ most welcome...if you`ve not come before please put this one in your diary, it`s a great day out.
Heater blower now working fine and thanks for your advice from another thread... hopefully not being clique-iste[;)]

Good Good,
RECENT SUBSRIBERS TO THIS FORUM...come and join in. In the South East we must have many 944 enthusiasts who would like a Sunday drive along our beautiful coast. You don`t have to have a concourse, highly tuned Porsche to join this drive, of course there will be some very unique versions of our cars there, but all are welcome to this friendly gathering.
Personally I will be driving an 86 944 lux automatic 170k+ (one of the oldest and slowest[allegedly][:D]) And I`ld love to see some early "Square Dash" Lux`s join us.

There are a number of 944`s already assembled from Titanic for 3.6.7.

Hi, Trackrod 944, Eastendr, Tiskev, Pauljmcnulty...are you (t)here as well?
Hastings East End Car Park 10.00hrs+ ish.

Are you aware it's one of the Goodwood breakfast meetings on June 3rd. - supercars. If you are not aware of these meetings, it's free, just turn up at Goodwood motor racing circuit from about 8.00am. Supercars are directed to a display paddock on the left, other interesting sports cars are directed to the paddock and standard road cars to the public car park. Drinks and bacon rolls/breakfast is available and you are free to wander around looking at the cars. It usually wraps up about 11.00.

See here - http://www.goodwood.co.uk/breakfastclub/

I am not associated with Goodwood but thought it might be a good place to meet?

That sounds like a bit of a cool concept.

What about starting at Goodwood and finishing at Hastings?

Granted parking could well be a pain later in the day in Hastings but it has seemed such a shame not to make more of Hastings in the past.

Please note these are just suggestions as it is Keith's Gig.

Certainly an interesting idea, John, but it would mean a 250 mile round trip for me and, I guess, a similar mileage for you, and others. Also, by the time we had breakfasted and wandered around the cars at Goodwood, it wouldn't leave much time for getting to Hastings via a scenic route, with perhaps a stiop for lunch, and 'doing the delights' of Hastings itself.

We must obviously wait for feedback from Keith but, assuming that we go straight to Hastings how about a meet-up at Thurrock services for those of us around the 'northern' M25.

Christopher

I'm up for a meeting at Thurrock how ever it pans out.

Unless you live "South of the River" most of us will be looking at 250 miles+ what ever we do.

I'm definately still up for it. I agree meeting at Goodwood would be great if Keith feels its a good idea too, but like John I'll be along however it works out.
Best regards,
Peter.

You're absolutely right, John. I have just checked the approximate mileage and it is greater for the St Albans/Hastings/Brighton/Hastings/Home run than it is for the round trip via Goodwood!
