Steve .. in fairness it was a motorbike accident, so potentially quite serious! The good news is that it is rumoured he is well enough to come to Brands but not well enough to race ... so should be back in the seat for round 2 at Oulton, where he is the oft-proclaimed Oulton Meister ! My car just had it's pre-race geo at Centre Gravity, car seems to have slumped over the winter and needed raising all round. Then the addition of some ballast in the passenger seat to meet the Class 2 Regs (30kg penalty), followed by corner weighting which Chris has tweaked to within 0.5kg. Ready to rock and roll at Brands..................

Paul, I can confirm Marcus is OK after getting in touch with him. Minor arm fracture but should be fit by Oulton. Good luck for the weekend.

Current weather forecast is 9 degrees and 50% chance of rain. I am praying we don't have standing water. Friday warmer but equally or more moist.

Same here Mark, if anything cold and damp should help me out and all of us in low power front engined cars. OTOH anything can happen in such circumstances. I am testing on Friday which will be a big help, see you there mate.

I just looked on Metcheck ........ there won't be much sun either day for sure! but it is not showing any significant rain on Saturday. Mind you quali at 9:00am is bound to be on a damp track as we are first out. ..... pondering my wet set up strategy as we speak......... my extra 30kg ballast for Class 2 might come in very useful !!

I span quite impressively early yesterday coming out of Graham Hill and the organiser "had words". Rather than any over-exuberance on my behalf, he blamed the truck racing they've had there recently - which was nice!

I watched them test the other day....mental!You wouldn't catch me anywhere near the pitfall when they are on!

When we go to Donington, I see that our races are on a truck racing event! So plenty of chance to see those beasts in action then. Mark.... enough of that mission impossible stuff, go quick, stay clean, above all stay positive ..... who knows what you can achieve?

Hope you all have a great weekend chaps I Was back at work this afternoon after the technical setback, have a great race Mr F!

Mark gutted for you ......... such a bummer to have your clutch fail you so dramatically today. Never heard of so much damage........ We'll miss you ........

Well, spent a day yesterday recovering and unpacking from Brands on Saturday, personally it went well and I bagged a couple of podiums (2nd & 3rd) in class 2 . Drive of the day must go to Ben Demetriou in his Hartech Boxster, who from a lowly grid position in a shortened Race 2 came through to win against the assembled might of Sumpter/Purdie/Proctor/McAleer/Harrison etc -- that is one great result. Photos up here, more of a race report when one is posted by PCGB asap http://www.newworldmotorsport.co.uk/index.cfm/page/galleries/listid/6/subcat/486/title/Porsche%20Club%202012 ---- spot the grin on my face in the prize giving, my first podiums!

Congratulations Paul - wish I'd have made the effort to get there but I stayed home and worked instead.

Top job Paul.. I bet you enjoyed those podiums....[:D][:D] ..That top step isnt far off..... And congrats to Ben , in his new car,, fab result....

Well done Paul. Good start to your campaign. [:)] Class 1 also looking very interesting with four different models on the podiums. Here's a link to Ben's on board video during his win in race 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzAZ6eZvRqw
