Toms S2 restoration thread

looks really nice, and not a bad place for a piccy or two either.

congrats on the finished article, hard work pays off

Thanks chaps. You may have spotted the missing NS hockey stick trim which is one of the bits still left to do. I have bought one in the UK but don't fancy risking posting it out here so that will have to wait until I get back to blighty. Same goes for the heater motor cover - too flimsy to consider posting. My parents are coming for a visit the week after next and are bring me a new drivers side window motor and regulator and a good used heater control panel so I will cross those off the list before too long. I can't cope with the sea of blue in the interior so I am selectively changing a few things to black. Already fitted a black steering wheel and gear lever gaiter and I'm going to re-trim the armrest with some black vinyl I bought today. It doesn't sound much but it breaks up the monotony of the blue!

Looking forward to getting back home and getting it road legal again. Will be the first time I have got out of 1st gear!

Loving this topic, please keep them coming! :)

We're saving for a house with a garage atm. When we move, I'd think seriously about doing some resto work myself but as it stands we've got no space.

Lovely, just lovely, i won't say well done as i consider you to be a jammy bugger having a missus with a well paying job allowing you to indulge yourself.................great job though [;)]
