Never a truer word.......at least it won't look as dirty as the black[;)][:D] And I agree with Geoff. Radio 3? Unless they were playing the 1812 overture of course![8D]
Enjoy Tom and surf that tidal wave of power. Look forward to seeing it soon.

The volume was on zero, I am s bif fan of classical music but not for driving - I always fall asleep.

Now a bit of Foo Fighters, Porcupine tree, Riverside etc would be more than welcome[:D][:D][:D]

HI Tom

You got it from the best dealership in the area by far & enjoy the
driving all 10000 of them & hopefully maybe see you at Essex July
BBQ event.

If you collect models of your cars Porsche does a nice 1/43 scale
997 Turbo S in Light Blue part number WAP 020 012 0A & if you
give James Wright Parts Manager at Porsche Colchester a call I'm
sure he would be able to get hold of one for you no problem.

All the best & once again enjoy your lovely looking Turbo S. [:)]

Yours Truly Kevin.

Kevin

Funny you should mention it I've collected a version of each Porsche I have Owned. So yes I'll make an enquiry

Hope to see you out on a run soon

I think having bought a Turbo S from them, least the OPC could do is to give you a model FoC [;)]

I guess you got something on collection though ?? When you are spending that much, should be like what we used to joke you would get when travelling first class on a plane (but I can't possibly repeat it here) [:D][:D]

All I got on collection of my Turbo was a mini Porsche brolly [:(]

Not even the flight crew get that.................[;)][:(]

I picked out some numbers from a magazine who figured the Turbo S

0-60 2.9s
0-100 6.6s
0-120 9.5s (thats the 0-100 for a GTS)
0-130 11.5s (0-60 for a slightly slow hatchback)
0-160 18.5s

So 60-120 mph = 6.6 secs

Mag figures for my Stage II Cargraphic 997.1 Turbo (544 ps):

0-100 km/h: 3.3 secs (60 mph)
0-160 km/h: 6.8 secs (100 mph)
0-200 km/h: 10.4 secs (120 mph)

So 60-120 mph = 7.1 secs

ie. I'd say the Turbo S with that super fast PDK box is in regular situations quicker, but with the extra hp and torque mine would certainly get up to 300 kph much quicker.

This is getting even me thinking now!! Ruby red Turbo S with aerokit - hmmmm...

Proof required...I think you should put that to the test on the next Reading drive........[:D]

Gonna need a long autobahn for that - should take me about 31s to get to 300 kph from standstill.

(I recall the 997.2 Turbo is about 40 secs)

Interesting list from a German mag:

Beschleunigung 0""200 km/h
1. Porsche 911 Turbo S 10,03 s
2. Ferrari 458 Italia 10,39 s
3. Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera 10,58 s
4. Mercedes SLS AMG 11,09 s
5. Wiesmann GT MF5 12,05 s
6. Lexus LFA 12,36 s
7. Nissan GT-R 12,88 s

Beschleunigung und Bremsen 0""200""0 km/h
1. Porsche 911 Turbo S 15,01 s
2. Ferrari 458 Italia 15,11 s
3. Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera 15,24 s
4. Mercedes SLS AMG 16,13 s
5. Wiesmann GT MF5 16,74 s
6. Lexus LFA 17,36 s
7. Nissan GT-R 17,78 s

The M4 is close by no?:ROFLMAO: I guess that "about" 31 secs depends on how well you get away from the start. No problem with launch of course.[;)]

Comparing the GT2RS, the Turbo S is actually faster up to 120 mph!! - just shows you how much time PDK saves...

Acceleration and brake test 0-300-0 km / h - Who is the fastest sports car in the test ?
Eight series of sports cars with 450-1001 hp fight for the fastest time in the great acceleration and brake test
from nothing to 300 km / h and back to standstill. Minutes of a fast-paced day in the high-speed oval in Papenburg.

Yes for a manual you'd need a new clutch every 3 tries!
