what did you do to your 944 today

Fitted a new fuel filter (cheers for letting me nick that Rob, will replace it next weekend[;)]) I dont want to speak to soon, but bizarrely it may have sorted the idle drop issue - it ran sweet as a nut when I took her out Also removed the chrome tailpipe trim as it was loose and rattling. Doesn't look so nice now but no more rattle [:D]

ORIGINAL: CarreraRSR I know its not a '44, but took my freshly painted '24 to Ace Cafe meet today.
I've been hankering after a twin-coloured 931 for years, this is stunning! Please let us know how you get on with it, this is going to be a sparkling car once it's complete!

Took the S2 down my favourite proving ground...a section of the old A40....and tried to find the limits of the gaz gold suspension. Umm, not got there yet! It's an astonishing transformation. Very digital feel now. Great day for a waz around on familiar roads.

I have owned the 924 turbo for 15 months now. Its been great fun, the boost is addictive however the 20mpg I'm getting isn't so much fun. The car was delivered in Alpine White and Guards Red from new in 1980 but was repainted all white in 1988. It has been this way ever since. The paint was now very tired so with a fair amount of deliberation I decided to go for a bare metal repaint in the original colours. Spent today fitting more parts back on. Full cage going in tomorrow, interior going back in soon after with Cobra Suzuka seats and harnesses as I had before. Hope to do the odd track day and maybe a sprint/hill climb as well.

Fitted the roof lining where the sunroof mech sits on the 220, brought the 250 Turbo up from the other garage and washed her off, now sat at the top of the drive, going for front end repaint tomorrow, sold my BMW 7 with regret, the bloke from Barclaycard needs squared up........................made a profit on the BMW though [:D]

polished mine 3 times with red colour magic [;)][;)]touched in a few stone chips and then went trout fishing in norfolk with a mate and the car and then it pissed down eith rain on the way back [:(][:(]

ORIGINAL: colin944 what are the choices? Photo's would be good and then we can help.
Can't see my choices being popular on here ... [8D] Here goes: Minilites - sure we all know what these look like? Slotmags - [link=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230537811449&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230537811449&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT[/link] Cosmic - [link=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140522424128&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140522424128&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT[/link] Don't want to hear no, you can't put x, y and z on a Porsche. It is my personal opinion that Porsche don't make nice wheels and I want mine to stand out from the crowd of 944s!

Is it pervy to like the slot-mags....? there is an old Datsun 260Z sat rotting out back of a garage in my village with slot-mags and it (would) look good

Slot-mags. They look real nice. Very shiny indeed. Sort of like a groovy telephone dial wheel. I'd go for that but no larger than 16"

To be honest I wouldn't mind a Datsun 260Z to go with them either. Is that pervy? Always been a particular fave of mine looks wise.

There ARE people who like them, then [:D] I put my opinions on TIPEC a while back and got slated for it! Whatever wheels I get they'll be no bigger than 16"s, infact I'd be very surprised if they are not 15"s. I don't like the "massive wheel" look! Divine- I think shiny would look good on a black car?

Slot-mags all day long those Cosmics are orrible Or big fat 18"s are nice[:D][:D][:D] I would like to see the 44 on Slot-mags reckon it will look good, you must be able to trawl the American sites to find a pic.

I mean the track focus racer look over the 'bling' BIG wheels city car look. Not the colour. I'd have 16" turbo teledials tomorrow if I could fit the big reds under them.. but its not even close

I take it you're a voter for Minilites rather than slotmags then? lol! I hate big wheels and the low profile tyres that go with them, IMO a 944 shouldn't have anything bigger than 16"s... unless theres some sort of actual purpose to it.

I love the 16 inch Turbo S forged wheels and was determined to race on them,Swapped to 17 inch cup ones and the difference in outright grip was Huge... I really love the 924 turbo in red and white more pics!!!???

Thanks Mark, I'm not sure if you remember I am the guy who bought your M030 suspension last year. Sold them on to fund the EMC set up Gaz in the end. I fitted more parts on Sunday, having a Safety Devices cage going in this week. But I am away from home this week. Will post up more pics next week as I'm getting requests for updates. Cheers
