what did you do to your 944 today

Are they supposed to pop up when on parking lights then? Mine don't I've also noticed the throttle cam mod thing has been done as well on mine! I've had a go at my CV's today in the hope to get them sorted for rutland tomorrow but got ground to a stop when the new CV didn't fit the shaft [:(]

I pulled out the the dials, cleaned the reflectors glued some tinfoil to them, fitted the white leds in, added a blue LED for the full beam and pulled my sat nav cable through the airvent from the centre blower hole to the last windscreen driverside vent hole. Tomorrows task as I didnt start till late today is fit the dials and make sure all the bulbs work and finish hardwiring in my sat nav cable behind the dash.

I did that last weekend Will! Was very impressed with the results!

looking good man! Hopefully mine will come out the same, undoubtedly I shall have to take mine out and turn them all out and turn them around as I shall have the poles the wrong way around. Just noticed as well youve got the mpg gauge as well, sort of wish I had one.

lol that sounds a bit like my fuel gauge all over the place. Though I have found a way of getting unlimited free fuel and thats if I keep going around a round about the gauge rise up slowly [:D] Looking forward to seeing how a blue led looks in the full beam slot as well as quite often forget to dip my beams [8|] as the colour is so faded lol

It depends on the year of the car. Early cars had the pods come up on parking lights even though the headlights aren't illuminated. There is a mod you can do to the relay to stop them - it's not actually a relay IIRC, more of an enclosed junction box.

I got around to fitting my led's in today and my full beam led [:D] little annoying as i double checked that all the leds where the correct way around to find out one isnt [:mad:] so but its not the end of the world and I shall get around to sorting that out at some point soon The fuel and water temp side isnt as bad as the pic looks really but could do with sorting, but look how blue the full beams are;

Also done one of my favourite mods I do to all my cars is hardwire the satnav charger behind the dash, not that I use one often but when I do it's so nice to have no wires across the dash and leaves the 12v for other things if needs be;

Have found something really annoying and that is someone before me had removed all the clock and heater unit before and were pretty heavy handed which has resulted in me finding many broken clips and such and my clock always had a bit of flex in it when pushing the buttons and found the plastic bit where it gets screwed behing the heater unit had been broke by someone and now I cant even get it to sit as flush (as it wasnt 100% when i got it) as it was previosly. I have also got a small drone/buzz (fairly faint) in the background when the key is turned in the ignition and not sure what it is as pretty sure I never had it before, any ideas? sounds like its coming from behind the clock. Also found this today hanging from below the steering rack sort of area any ideas of that as well?

If you mean the trim piece the clock sits in - about £23 from Porsche, but it'll look so new and black you'll want to replace the rest (or paint it all as I did). If you mean the back of the clock where it screws to the trim is broken (unlikely but possible i suppose) then let me know as I've got a spare casing after replacing my broken clock internals - be quick though as the bin men come tomorrow!

I mean the trim peice that the clock sits in and run the whole length above the glove box. I don't think I'll buy a new peice for that reason but think at some point when I can be arsed to pull everything apart again I shall phone up a breaker and get one posted to me so the colour will match a bit better, as when I paint/spray stuff I get impatient and rush it never getting a satisfying finish lol. Thanks for the offer of the other bit though as well bud.

The small drone noise behind the clock could be the tiny fan that sucks air into the HVAC sensor. There is a small tube that connects this fan to the small circular grille next to the clock. It sucks in air at cabin temperature so the HVAC system knows what heat to spit out the vents. If you take out the glovebox liner (6 screws) you can see the other end of the tube and clean any dust/ grime from the fan which may be causing your drone. Disconnect the fuse for interior lights before messing around with the glovebox light or you WILL bow it [;)]

Brilliant cheers man, would the tube not being connected properly as well make it drone as it didn't do it before hand which I would have thought it would of if there was dust/grime in it? Think its connected properly though with how tight everything is as porsche never aloud much wire of movement or other components it might not be. Though shall have a look and a clean anyway. Cheers

A picture of my old car with a random dog on the passenger seat from an event last year, featured in this month's Banzai magazine. http://www.sucksqueezebangblow.net/folder/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/car-club-18-30-s2b2-in-banzai-magazine-march-2013.pdf

the torque tube might be about the cheapest item to replace on that list... Makes me very nervous about ever dropping the gearbox / axle - soon gets expensive. maybe a job for next winter.

Are you 100% sure they are cracks and not just scratches from having the box out a couple of times in it's life.
