what did you do to your 944 today

Turbo S has new belts but took longer than anticipated, t'other car will have to wait, it's the easter holidays !

Update to my stereo installation. I've just had delivered today and now fitted an iPod Adaptor that gives me full control of the iPod from the stereo and also added the Bluetooth Hands Free Kit that is an option for the iPod adaptor. All fits behind the stereo (just [8|] ) and I now have the iPod hidden in the glove box and can make/receive calls on the go all. The only other visible thing is the microphone on the A Pillar

The kit works out at £100.00 delivered from the Supplier in China but is definately worth the cost [:)] iPod Adaptor : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251240865779 Bluetooth Adaptor : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261118682613
ORIGINAL: MartinRS2K Finally fitted my New Old Stock VDO Dayton MS4150RS CD/Tuner with Sat Nav. I got this off a seller on eBay for £95 and he has more if anyone is interested. This is an Amber Display unit which matches the dash lights well. I have also got a lead that connects via the CD Changer slot on the back of the unit that charges the iPod. I have fitted the lead under the centre console so it looks neat and gives me easy control of the iPod. [:D]

I took advantage of the sunshine today to clean the 944 for the first time in months. I also posted on the forum for the first time in ages. I've missed you guys[:D]

Ditto - was still covered in salt from the Rutland trip. I took the view that dry salt was better than salty water running into all those crevasses.

Thank you, I have got some brake pipes that need replacing today and some other pipes that could do with a coat of paint.

Aw bless! [:D] Me and Rob are still waiting for the house warming invite Simon [8D] Hope to catch up soon[;)]

Ran the 220 and brought her up to the house, washed waxed and then another run back down to her garage, put on the trickle charger and cover refitted, Tax next month and she will be let loose, new belts and oil changed. Sorted the backfire and missing on Turbo S turned out to be a broken one way vacuum valve, washed and given a run out after re-tensioning belts, paid Scott for some poly bush rear drop links to be fitted before Germany trip. A busy 944 day.

Didn't get as much done today as i'd have liked but I did manage to re attach the two end damper pads that the arms of the torsion bar sit into and one of the side ones. Then I rubbed down the fuel pipes where they are starting to rust and gave them a coat of paint and replaced one small rotten brake pipe, three more to do!

ORIGINAL: simdel1 It's coming soon [:D] I think a drink in stamford is more likely though. The house is still a mess!
Er Hmm, I hope that's a shout out for a 944 house warming do! [:D][:D]
Not sure how big his drive is but sounds fair! [:D]
Actually, it's probably big enough ;-) The entry fee will be a bottle of beer...

ORIGINAL: WBray I found a little bit of mayonnaise on my dipstick :(
It might not be as bad as it looks. Has the coolant level dropped? Do you do many miles? Is it only used for short journeys?

Put in half a litre in on the 1st though that was a week after draining the coolant so could have been a it pulling more into the system than I thought thought had pulled it all through then had to put another Half a litre on the 7th. So for a litre been added not as much Mayo as I'd have thought as its only a little bit. Currently doing a 97mile drive twice a week plus the odd little drive over the weekends.
