what did you do to your 944 today

Drove to Exeter and back today and found at some point I have blown the drivers side rear speaker, so will need to man up and change them soon as the noise done my nut in on the way up and back. []

Here you go Oli: http://www.tipec.net/_forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=9161 Simon - don't suppose you have a Porsche crest horn push in that box of bits that would fit my OMP wheel do you?

Unfortunately Im one short Dave three cars and only two pushes). I seem to recall Edd buying a newer style emblem one from somewhere which possibly leaves his older Momo one available? Whats the centre bore size of your OMP wheel? Momo seem to be either 51mm or 55mm with the larger size being current. Momo horn pushes appear to fit directly into the older sized centre bore and need a mounting ring to fit them to a current wheel. edited to add: apologies for the repitition. Ive posted about the wheels on Tipec too and hadnt realised that Id gone into detail here until I read the whole page.

No probs Simon. I've got an OMP one in there at the moment and I've seen the one that Edd'a got but I'm not overly fussed and his was about £40-odd! :) I don't read Tipec on anything like a frequent basis so no repetition here, just brand new information!

Today I fitted my new wheels; Cup 1 16x7 front and 16x8 rear to replace the 15" phonedials, to which I will fit winter tyres at some stage. Tyres on the Cup 1's are Conti Sport Contact 205/55 front and 225/50 rear. Thanks for all the excellent info on the forum about options and sizes.

Sorry for not being clear. Edd has a smart new one, but I believe that he had a large shouldered old style emblem Momo horn push before. It was this now redundant part that I was suggesting that he might sell.

Very nice - I really like the 16" cups (even though they are 968 wheels...)

Finally fitted my New Old Stock VDO Dayton MS4150RS CD/Tuner with Sat Nav. I got this off a seller on eBay for £95 and he has more if anyone is interested. This is an Amber Display unit which matches the dash lights well. I have also got a lead that connects via the CD Changer slot on the back of the unit that charges the iPod. I have fitted the lead under the centre console so it looks neat and gives me easy control of the iPod. [:D]

ORIGINAL: 944 man Link please Martin.
He has got the more expensive model for sale at £120 but has accepted offers of £90 and £100 so make an offer at £90 and if that fails try £95 [:D]v It's exactly the same as mine but with the twin tuner. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vdo-dayton-ms4300-sat-nav-cd-retailed-at-599-/221203364784?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item3380bf7bb0

Thanks. Does it have all of the required accessories? I have a Becker Traffic Pro (4721) and I have lost the maps disc making it useless. [:(]

Yes they are brand new boxed with discs etc. I had one years ago in my 996 and they fit in well and the radio is xcellent for keeping a good strong signal.

Is that the one from PorkChop?
I've got a genuine Porsche turbo wing decal, left over from my stock piling of parts when i was getting my turbo restored. Still boxed & lying on my shelf. Won't be fitting it to my Lux! So open to offers, can post pics if required. Oh & it's a black one! Alan.

I've got a fleabay wing decal. I meant the fleabay horn push from PorkChop but now see that Frenchy meant wing decal too. Anyone got a good pic of the right position for fitting one?

Martin RS2K, many thanks for this link - this looks very much in keeping with the dash style. Previous owner fitted a bling Pioneer unit to mine, so one of these nicely-priced units will be in there shortly.
