I purchased one from Fraserpart (listed as genuine ) and it needed half an inch cut off it also. I tried several times to loose some of the extra by re fitting it round the corners making sure it wasn't stretched.but still had to cut the excess off.ORIGINAL: pauljmcnultyHi Will, If it was a proper one, it should be the exact length but be a bit of a nightmare to squeeze the whole lot on. I was told it will shrink a bit, so the excess is to allow for that.ORIGINAL: WBray £67 posted bud really good fit, made a bit longer so you will need to cut about 1/2 inch off but guess allows for some variables. Pretty much next day delivery as well

Now that's a good idea with the glow tape, I guess this means I don't just have a bulb out but that not all switches are illuminated?
ORIGINAL: WBray Fitted a small hole punch sized bit of glow in the dark tape for the rear wiper switch so I dont always open the roof while trying to find it in the dark. Chucked in a cayenne boot liner which fits surprisingly well just needs a little altercations. Fitted a new sunroof seal as well took the old on off and found holes in both the rear corners which is where water must have been coming through during heavy rain.

Mine was from Fraserpart aswell, shall see whether cutting that bit off has been a costly mistake soon I guess :sORIGINAL: ALZ 1933I purchased one from Fraserpart (listed as genuine ) and it needed half an inch cut off it also. Is working really well for me at the minute, glows only a little but enough to notice where it is and the glow of the radio just shows it up aswell.ORIGINAL: Paul190H Now that's a good idea with the glow tape, I guess this means I don't just have a bulb out but that not all switches are illuminated?ORIGINAL: WBray Fitted a small hole punch sized bit of glow in the dark tape for the rear wiper switch so I dont always open the roof while trying to find it in the dark. Well, to my 968. Fitted a brand new CS (968) steering wheel, bought a set of Genuine Cup 1s with R888s all round for track work in 2014 and finally picked up my Cup 2s (7s and 8s) from the powdercoaters shod with winter tyres and ready to fit tomorrow. I think that's the 968 already spoilt for Xmas time! []
Decided to remove the petrol cover, lid and restraining strap, the cover and lid just needed a small amount of rust removing. But the strap was more rust than steel so l got a local blacksmith to make me one out of stainless steel which cost me £10, porsche dealers wanted £64 +vat, so no brainer there. Bought some draft excluder to seal the cover to the tank replaced the strap job done.
Removed the ABS pump last night and put an American sourced used one in. It was relatively straightforward apart from one rusted nut on the bottom that needed Dremeling and chiselling off. Picked up some more Super Blue brake fluid and will do a fluid change and bleed the brakes during chrimbo limbo. Assuming everything then works I'll put the ABS and (!) warning bulbs back in for this year's MOT

Noticed something odd the other night and rather than start a new thread thought I would ask here as hopefully its quite simple. When I have my lights on they are all working fine. When I put full beam on the passenger side pop up light turns off and will turn back on when I take full beam off. Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers,

No I didn't [8|] lol shall have a gander and probably look at some new bulbs then probably thank-you!ORIGINAL: 944 man It does rather sound as though the main beam element has failed. You realise that they arent both illuminated at once?

Gave her a quick run to loosen things up and get the fluids moved, hoovered and dusted the interior and wrapped her up for a month or so I reckon looking at the forecast and the fact that they were gritting the roads at 3pm today!
Does it wofk properly if you 'flash' main beam rather than putting it on permanently ? I had the same issue and it was within the stork assembly. If you get the same results when 'flashing' (ooh err mrs) then it'll be the bulb mike
