what did you do to your 944 today

He was certainly very skillful! he was using all of the road and was a 3 wheeler on a few occasions, a couple of times I had to back off as I was getting too close to him and couldn't keep the car balanced behind him which put me out of shape a bit. His lack of grunt showed on the exit of the second of a pair of 2nd gear corners, but I did give him a cheery wave and a respectful blink of the hazards as I blasted past him

Got some 2nd hand indicator light units from eBay USA which were rough enough and promptly Bosched them with LED sidelights ... The sidelights have to be white for the NCT.... They look like a dogs c**k but they work and they are just plug and play... Once the test is passed I will change them back again [;)]

Been driving my black turbo past couple of days as suddenly needed to with the temporary demise of my little 205,its SO quiet!!Definetly think its the future for me 944 wise as i get older. My red noisy turbo may be going up for sale begining of next year[8|]Someone out there must want a shiny minto Turbo with silly power?I will throw in a set of earplugs for free[:D]

Their landline has been disconnected and during our argument today he actually said 'sue me if you want, there's nothing you could take!' We shall see.....
Sorry to hear about this, Joss. I've asked around, and I'd certainly be careful about using SAR at the moment. I understand that Simon isn't involved any more.

It had a real tantrum at Silverstone the other day and blew it's head gasket,so it's in having a head skim and whilst it's off a tappet reshim,I use it so much I am really missing it,was a bit of a shame me and Paz wasted a whole day sorting it riding around in a recovery truck! Only did 2 laps!!!

Cheers Paul - you're right about Simon having split from Alan, he posted a comment on the 'spaceframe project' thread confirming as much. Unfortunately Alan hid this new business arrangement from me and I believe that their previous good reputation may have been based more on Simon's input

Got passenger side sill on and finnished. only a few bits at the front to sort ( clear everything off of the inner wings) and then it's time to paint. Am starting to go for williams blue.

Went down to the other garage and took the cover off the 220 fired here up and took it for a 10 mile run to get things warmed up and used then back into hibernation, washed the Black Turbo and treated her to some Do Do Juice Black Velvet Wax, gave her a quick run then back into the garage. Weather looks good this week so the Black Turbo will be out and about. [:)]

I completely serviced the boot lock mechanism that was a seized and bunged up with crud. Now is slick and smooth and all lovely sounding. Hurrah!

have you tried the 'hatch test' yet? Drive up to the house with the weeks shopping in tha back and stop whilst pressing the hatch release button . As you come to a full stop the hatch should rise as you are stepping out of the car [;)]

yep that looks pretty cool as long as there is something to get out of the hatch. otherwise its kinda embarrasing[:D]

Received my 'Agreed valuation' certificate through the post today. They agreed with my valuation [:)] Fitted some new spark plugs. I got Bosch WR7-DC (as described in the user manual), but the plugs I pulled out were discoloured Bosch Super 4 (WR7-8) which had four prongs. The car has been transformed for less than £7! The 'shuddering' that I was experiencing at low revs has almost completely gone, and the exhaust fumes don't smell entirely like un-burned petrol now. [:D] I've just ordered a new dizzy cap, rotor arm and oil filter. A rear wiper is in the post too! It'll be nice to be able to see out the back of the car on cold mornings! I know I should be spending this money on the stricken Rover but...

Put the seat bases back in and tacked them down. fitted seats to make sure I had the bases in the right place.Sat in it ( on the drivers seat) first time in two and a half years. I just love those sport seats. Would have stayed and slept in it but was too cold.Heater not working due to no battery or ecu or cooling system in the car at the moment.
