what did you do to your 944 today

Drove mine to a Chinese takeaway at legal limits over some nice roads, drive was ace,Chinese was a bit salty and ended up in the bin:ROFLMAO:

Aaaah, that is what Guards red should look like! I had to drop my daughter off for 1.5 hours hockey at school on Saturday, so slung my bike in the back and went and did a circuit of Grafham Water with a mate whilst I waited, pop the front wheel off the the bike fits in a treat!

Rear wiper fitted and working. All I have to do now is take it off again and paint it [:D] Andy, the car looks stunning! Let me know when I can 'test the steering' for you [8D]

Strut brace and adjustable rear drop links fitted. Handling just keeps getting better! Stuart

Well not today but this weekend I fitted the new steering wheel, replaced the trim around the ignition switch as it was broken, replaced the trim that covers the carpet where it meets the sill on the drivers side as it was broken also, refitted the stereo, changed the number plates and...... tried to refit the wastegate but one of the threads had been tapped badly and now has another bolt sheared off in it!

Finally rebuilt the cylinder head on Saturday as she's been off the road since January and engine in a pile of bits since March.... at present pace may be back on the road January next year !

Oh I forgot I also built some speaker pods for the front doors out of mdf, just waiting for the material to arrive now so I can cover them.

This morning I plugged the digital clock in after replacing the screen last night using one of Alasdairs kits. It didn't work. Had read that it's easy to blow the fuse when removing the fascia panel and cig lighter etc so a quick check showed that the fuse was blown, so I replaced it and lo and behold, a working clock! Wooo! Good start to the day! [:)]

Bugger ! Took the badge panel of the black car and thought to myself i will clatter some cavity wax in there whilst it is off, placed the panel carefully on one of the open drawers on my tool trolley, set off to pick the cavity wax and heard it fall ......................AARGH ! A lovely collection of scratches when i tentaviley picked it up off the garage floor, now in the back of the daily bus to be dropped of for paint tomorrow (it has only recently just been done) Double Bugger !!

Ditched the P6000s on the front at last!!!! One of them had done 49,000 miles and was 10 years old! Nice pair of Falken 452 205/50R17s on now, I just need to have a play with tyre pressures and plan to replace the 452s on the back next month after 25k miles

Today I rearranged the cooling system to the turbo, adding the temp sensor for the cooling pump that I skipped when building the engine.

Moved my throttle pedal across to the left and down a bit so I can heel and toe again like I used to. I already had an EMC Motorsport throttle mod conversion, they bin the organ pedal then weld on a flat metal plate onto the throttle arm to which an aftermarket alloy pedal is screwed. Been out practising this afternoon, got 4th to 3rd licked just need to be more consistent on 3rd to 2nd. It feels nice though to feel the car pull up nice and straight through the gears with just a consistent deceleration [:)].

Sounds interesting Neil. Can you put a couple of photo's on. I would like to see how it works and what it looks like.

Yeah, heal and toe is so satisfying. I don't practice very often so I'm not that good, but when I get it right it feels great!
