Love the rear spoiler do they do them with the red reflecter band across the bottom if so would put one on my c4s.

Took the Speed Yellow out on a cracking run to bed the new discs and pads all round as fitted by Autofarm this week.

Stops a lot better now!!!

Paul what radio did you take out also was the old one fibre optic. Just bought the same touch screen like yours but my 23cdr has fibre optic.
I took out a Sony,so not much help there, if the fibre optic wire fits into the back, plug it in see what happens can't do any harm.

You can get them from Porsche (Part Number 996.512.250.00) but they are £95 now. A lot different from when I did mine:

Well finally put in my pioneer car play now I have phone , sat nav my music from my iPhon. The phone sounds great had a bit of trouble converting the fibre optic but all done. Will post a couple of pics soon. Also Saturday changed the tiptronic oil and filter etc. Walk in the park getting to know all the knocks and crannies. With help from my great book

Hi that sounds very intresting did you do the gearbox oil and filter yourself or a garage , I want to get mine done , many thanks . Frank .

Hi Frank you would need a hydralic ramp to keep the car level. It was very easy to do Richard very kindly sent me information and the procedure. The only thing I would say is that when putting the thick rubber gasket on the pan make sure it's completely seated right before tighten up. The tiptronic box also has a filter you must change I bought all the items from design911. Also you would need a infrared temperature gun around 40.00 Amazon. Also make sure you use the right oil as Richard said my c4s has a Mercedes Benz gearbox which I used Fuchs oil. Good luck it's very satisfying to do it yourself. Just keep all receipts for your cars records.

Thankyou for your info with the gearbox I really don't think I could do it myself but I really appreciate your words of wisdom ,so thanks very much ,all the best , Frank .

We also changed the brake fluid with AP660 racing fluid and fitted a GT3 front lip spoiler looks like the one on Stuarts GT3 in the above picture, and finally fitted a new oil filler tube with cap.

I also found the air oil separator was leaking at the seal and the two rear shocks are leaking as well so I'm replacing the air oil separator and some BC Racing coil overs (I have researched them and they have some good reviews)

Did you have to remove the cats to change the pump or the rear engine mount just seems a really tight space for the pump to come out?

On Saturday treated the car to a wash and its first full waxing of the year. Just in time for the R31 Sunday morning coffee morning meet at Burford.

Hi Pieman,

Sorry for the late reply, all we did was put a transmission jack under the engine to support it took the nuts off the rear mounting plate and luckily a couple of the threaded studs came out instead of the nuts so we could just sqeeze in and get the mounts and water pump in and just put the nuts and studs back on and that was it.

The old mounts were completely knackered split with all the oil gone I recon a few cars out there have knackered mounts because its not obvious they are busted.

we were going to replace the oil air separator because the seal is sligh leaking but it looks like an engine out job so when I have the money we are going to upgrade the Clutc, maybe the manifolds and definitely the bolts and change the gaskeya and anything else that needs doing
