Where is the Early 911 Register Secretary?

Gary your right the forum may be a small part of the club but it will as time goes on become more of a major part of the club. The board do I feel have a fear of the forums and I am sure many don't feel we need it.. but lets wake up we do and we need to get a better balance of things happening faster that they do at the moment.

Go to a local meet I do hope there are people there you can hook up with, afterall it's local people you really want to meet up with.. I feel the meets are better suited to more modern cars rather than our old ones..

Hey I'm still moaning about it 7 years later.. I just keep thinking next year with will be better , no next , no next [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

I personally don't think the board are frightened of the forum . . or want it shut. They may have been a little scared when it first opened, but it's here now and it works.

Yes it works .. . . but I accept the fact (IMHO) that it will ever achieve the community feel of say DDK. There simply aren't enough users and the ones most likely to use the internet, use DDK (anyone lurking around here simply wants to be confrontational [:D] . . . that's a joke)

Basically, unless I'm missing something radical here . . . I can't see any the point of picking on the forum, so pick on the club constitution instead (that's another joke)

Gary . . . please don't be put off with the cr+p on here . . . there are good points to the club.

Regards
Phil

Yeah your right Phill, sign away any rights for £100,000 and buy a fancy trailer. Which breaks down every 15 mins..:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

it's not all doom and gloom.. the reason so many people are rasing points here is because they want to see things change alittle to make it more attractive for new owners and current ones, to want to say and join in..I think they call this ........Pashion.[;)]

Mark, please get the fact right. I don't know how much the agreement with Porsche GB netted the club, if anything, but the Motorsport trailer was financed from the Motorsport Division which runs a profit.

There's only a handfull of people contributing to this thread, so it's hardly representative. I don't necessarily want to see any changes, just the appointment of an RS.

Nick it was following Phills comments as tounge in cheek..[;)]

and i also ment the comments raised ,where for the whole of the forum in general not just this post..and this one subject.

I do wish that there is some direction on this abit quicker.. I still feel it very odd that Phil dropped out with out saying anything.. With out trying to cast doubt has he had a falling out with the club? I hope it's not over anything we have done like the Silverstone track day.. I was not 100% where the club stood on this.. I thought the numbers where good and can only get better next time to make it more worth while ££ wise. I know Phil did alot of arm bending to get it all up and running.. anyway I am sirmising ( sp ) with out any facts..

so he can chat with you, but not the rest of us! As for waiting for a board meeting, is it therefore some kind of top secret that the
PCGB has been harbouring since Philip Taysom resigned last July, or perhaps something more to fit in with Robin's own agenda?

Hi Mike .... I bumped into Robin (and Paul) at Silverstone on Sunday (at the NU classic rally thing). I'm sure he'd have spoken to you if you were there . . .or if you'd like to give him a bell . . I'm also sure he'll be along here shortly.

Don't think there's any hidden agenda . . . . and this will get sorted before 2008 I'm certain [:D][:D]

As nick says the trailer has cost the club nothing, and as a racer i see that the clubtrailer/pr for the club stands out a mile in some top race paddocks in the uk and abroad,it has also ended up saving money on leasing /rental of such a trailer as before.
The 100k ,you are not far wrong on from porsche gb,i am not so happy that Porsche GB have so much input .
I have requested a Early porsche Track day via Steve Kevlin again for next year, will hopefully have some news after the workers conferance in november.
So here,s to the revival of the early 911s.

Paul, thanks for your help. Perhaps you should be aware that DDK is organising an early Porsche track day at Anglesey for 9th June 2008, so to get those guys (myself included) you may need to ask for a date clear of that.

couldn't have put it better myself, apart from adding: an RS who has the time and preferably know how to actually do the job.
its such a shame to see such an active, enthusiastic group go for so long without a RS.

I believe the Club may have a problem, and it's surely affecting the ability to appoint a replacement RS. It seems that the Club has never received PMJT's resignation letter and cannot contact him vie email or post to confirm one way or the other and in fact have had heard from him since before Castle Heddingham. Perhaps someone who is in contact with him could get him to confirm his resignation?

Then I guess they should fire him for not doing the job and replace him. So we can all move on!

I do know from experience that any new RO or RS appointments are run across the Board although their "approval" is not strictly required and is never normally an issue. It's just protocol.

Larry . . . . I belive that's what's happening.

As for the boards approval .... yep I got that wrong in my bit for the post (which will hopefully get amended if published).

Phil

PS Wouldn't it be 'great' if Philip T suddenly appeared on here[:)][:)] . . . no doubt he'd have a story to tell (Hello - if you're lurking).

PPS I did e-mail him asking him to confirm his resignation the other week (just to move things on) . . but never heard anything back.
