Theres a thread running about Insurance including track days... With the learning and control involved with this day, I won't be adding any additional Insurance on my car.. We did have similar questions last time we ran this type of event and I think the majority ran with caution insurance [

Chris, As you'll be aware the lead time for magazines is such a long time, It was actually written in advance by quite a while. We have always announced events first via google groups and then the forum, however it goes in the PP as the club believes that the whole club read the magazine, so the whole of the 997 register will then read about the event and be able to book. I'd like the 997 members to have first options on the event but would not like to see empty places and other club members missing out on the offer. I'd hope that it can be opened up to all club members by the second week in March and all 48 places are benefited by members. Just got back from a Silverstone day with the new GTS The kick plate is out of action until at least March (depending on the lawsuits with the original constructors) and thereafter the ice hill will need to be rebuilt. Something about them not being built right in the first place and their surfaces cracking due to winter. Hopefully both will be back in action for you guys in May.
Hi - I am all booked in for the 1.30 session. I have to say hiring their car for an extra £50 seemed like a rather good deal, so I have done that. You could probably spend that in fuel in an hour and a half at current prices, let alone tyre wear etc. Thanks for organising Gary, it seems like exceptional value to me.

Andrew, It certainly is good value at £50 for one of their cars...[] However I somewhat believe that doing this training in your own car gives you the chance to see what your own car actually does... None of the feeling in the back of your mind that its a specially setup car to do these type of things with.. It certainly gave me the confidence after doing this at Millbrook in my own car... and has possibly saved me from a few cross country events [&:] [] I look forward to meeting up. garyw
