Your other cars

Too many at the moment! The more interesting include one of only 8 RHD Shamals built for the UK (and the only one in blue), and one of only 26 RHD Ghibli Cup cars built for the UK (in matching blue). Also have other Maseratis and a selection of more sensible stuff.

2012 Ford Focus TDCI company car, which replaced my beloved CLK 320 'Brynhildr'

Girlf has a rattly 206 1.4i which i recently tried in vain for her to upgrade to something more interesting, like a Z4 3.0si. She liked the way it looked, but i knew it wasn't gonna happen when she asked whether they did a 1.6 version!

I occasionally borrow my dad's Evo X FQ300 but not so much now he knows how i drive it. After hearing my S2 revving up he decided to fit a full sports exhaust system to his and now it sounds brutal. Not what you expect from a 64 year old.

When its horrible I drive a 94 Range Rover LSE. When its dry a 97 Caterham 21 and the rest of the time my 90 944t.
Tried a 996t and didn't use it or like much so it went.
Sort of looking for a nice weekend family car but not sure what yet. Might be a 928.

I have a mondeo 2.5 v6 ghia x estate, great car and sounds lovely. Recently I put four new shocks on and a set of Apex lowering springs. You can hardly notice the 30mm drop and the ride is still lovely and compliant (it did wallow a little bit before)

Now that is interesting. I am in two minds with that car. Do I throw a bundle of cash at it and keep it going (I was eying up the Eibach/Bilstein combo which should do the trick if your improvements are anything to go by :)) or buy something similar but in better condition (which seems to be ££££)? I could always put up with the car until its heart can beat no more...

Can't be the only person on here with an Alfa as a daily driver?
In fact this is the latest of 6 Alfas whereas the 944 is the latest in a long line of 3 Porsches.

I did have a 147 JTD as a daily once in addition to a brief flirtation with a 147 2.0 Twin Spark. Contrary to the haters the JTD never gave me any trouble bar when a Boost hose split. The VAG after it gave me way way waaaaaaay more jip! Even my French cars were not that bad truth be told.

Chas - I love your Stag, looks fantastic!!205 looks nice too. I've got my eye on them at the moment, I may be viewing one to do up shortly [;)]

Many thanks Andy :). I may be selling the 205 if you are interested (it will be a respray if you are after a minter but mechanically it is spot on). If you need a hand let me know (viewing etc.) As I eventually found out there is a gulf between how people think a 205 should handle (i.e swinging their tail out at every corner) to how they should, especially on good modern rubbers (still playful but more provokeable and more importantly, predictable :)).

Thanks Chas, will do ;) The 205 will be for the business, not for me so price will be key to it - as well as condition of course lol

In which case make me an offer, I can only say no (for both the Stag and the 205).

Here is a link to what has been done to the 205. I shall take less than the asking price for it truth be told :).

the 944 is an only child. My commute involves the delights of the Bakerloo Line, or if the weather's really nice a 40 minute walk.

I have a Mk4 golf 2.0 GTI... yes, the one that people say isn't a proper GTI (and they are mostly right)

It was my carriage to the Rutland meet this year and is adequate for the commute, transporting the dog and bootfulls of 944 parts.

I have a hankering for a 928 as a third car...

I hanker after a 928 myself truth be told. They have plenty to offer for the enthusiast. In the same token they also have plenty of things that are costly for an owner (to an extent where 944s look comparatively cheap to run!).

I guess the 928 has to be respected as being a top end sportscar of the day and as such coming with the price tags to match.

Beside 951s i have 1988 E30 BMW (bought it around 6 years ago for 100€) and as a daily driver i have 2000 VW Passat Variant fourmotion i bought for 500€ [:D]

I was waiting for Ewan to post....will be tough to beat I think..

needs pics though Ewan !

Just an Insignia as my daily workhorse though it does have two turbos so I can get my boost fix when required (well sort of [;)])

Keep thinking could add another interesting car to the fleet (assuming Mrs Suffolk 944 gave permission) but not sure if it would get enough use to justify the outlay.

My daily road car is 1998 993 Targa manual, and sometimes my 1964 Austin Cooper S:

I think you'd be hard pushed to beat those two as daily options Jerry, two of my most favourite cars! I've not had the fortune to own a 993 (yet) but have had tuned MK1 Minis before and really miss the experience - and that 'old' smell inside [:)]

Thanks for the link Chas. It looks nice! I'm hoping to look at one shortly that's around the £800 mark - it does need some tidying but I'm hoping not too much! lol

You poof ! [;)]

I've got a Toyota Hiace, in French Turquoise. Pete, it might not be a modded, stealth-black T4 but you dare call me a poof! [sm=kiss.gif]

170K miles and still going strong! Last MOT was a bit of a let-down, as there was an advisory for one tyre: Toyota reliability finally let down by cheap rubber. [&:]

And still got the flippin' Legacy. Nearly 140K miles on it and can't agree what to change it for....it's just too good a car to be worth selling for a grand. [&o]
