991 Owners Cars

Thanks Ralph .

I clicked on the link and it says on major service to replace air cleaner singular. This could mean the cabin filter as they did change that .

there are 2 air filters in the rear air intake boxes.

I have looked at the fixings on my rear bumper and it hasn't been removed since it was built .

cheers

Also at the front there is no mesh protection for the radiators and are showing signs wear from road debris. Can anyone recommend a quality kit that can be fitted to the front apron

I have the Zunnsport grills fitted to mine and they take 30 mins to fit taking your time so no need to take them anywhere to be fitted!!!!

theres usually a code knocking around forums for 10% off so have a search if you go that route its worth it, also no big deal to remove them come warranty renewal time.

bear in mind zunnsport ‘might’ not have the kit for your car yet if you have certain options fitted i.e ACC etc, they dont have it for the Macan but might be available now for the 991, havent checked recently.

regards & Happy New Year.

RTFM? That's surely the absolute last resort [;)]

Couldn't agree more about the power steering. I've just taken my first step by purchasing a 991.1 C2S and I can't fault the steering. Light and easy to manoeuvre at low speeds and weights up nicely once on the move.

Yes I agree with Pokhara. I read so much bad press about the new-fangled electric power steering but I love the steering. Very precise and balanced and with ‘power steering plus’ it is very easy at parking speeds.

I am going to get the Zunsport grills for my 991.1 C2S as I have had slight radiator damage as well as stones getting in the cooling fans . If you go on their website [link=https://www.zunsport.com/index.php?route=product/search&search=991]https://www.zunsport.com/index.php?route=product/search&search=991[/link] they are all listed there. I was given a 15% discount code back in November (still not done anything about it!) which was ZU041510. Try that it may still work for you. If not then contact Peter Langston at Zunsport and he will probably honour the discount. Th ecode only works when you order direct from them. Keep us posted on your progress.....and yes you may have to unclip them for warranty work (my OPC said they would probably turn a blind eye except for the next 111-point test).

Just over a month into ownership of my first Porsche and absolutely loving it. 2012 991 C2S, PDK ('why would anyone choose a manual gearbox?", he asks mischeiviously), Power Steering Plus, GT silver, Sport Design ducktail and front spoiler, 20" Sport Techno wheels.

It was the ducktail and wheels that clinched it.

Purchased from OPC Cambridge. 17,500 miles and FPSH. Great service from Michael Cornwell.

Nigel,

You need to host your photos on another site eg Flickr, Imgur etc. as Photobucket is no longer forum-friendly for free hosting.

Regards,

I used Imgur and it was straightforward once you know which link is needed (the DIRECT link apparently). It will all become clear once you get there! Clive showed me the light too!

I'm dealing with Michael on the purchase of my new Carrera T. Seems a nice guy! [:)]

Car looks great Nigel. I do like a ducktail and in silver it really does look very good. Let's see those Techno wheels though. What colour paint are they....from the little I can see they look black.

Thanks! Yes, the wheels are black gloss with brushed silver accents on the spokes. I’ll put a photo on when the rain stops!

A couple of images of my GTS Targa, dropped it off at the OPC Wolverhampton to have a very small wheel scuff repaired and a minor repair to the underside of the front bumper (the metal bit) where I caught it driving on the ferry.

Had it 10 months now and it is still a tremendous car to own with it's retro looks.

Like a lot of people and even though I had a good length of time in a demonstrator I was a little worried about the new 3 litre Turbo engine but it has proved to be a superb engine with lots of low down power and great fun to drive.
