funny you mentioned wheel and front bumper underside scrape - had exactly the same things to sort on my 991.1 C2 recently courtesy of our badly maintained roads round here - all done at the OPC. And had a sports exhaust fitted while it was there. Really enjoying the noise of the exhaust - wakes up the dodderers a bit

Lovely GTS Targa you have there also noticed you have the extended spoiler version!
I find it rather disconcerting on reading that you scuffed the underside and front bumper on the ferry [] I am due to go out to the 911 Switzerland trip later in the year by ferry. I was told there will be no issue in scuffing the bumper on the ferry and I would be OK, not sure now. I have the full 20mm drop on my 4S, is your GTS the full 20mm drop or the less 10mm drop? On hindsight was the scuff preventable on the entry /exist of the ferry or was it inevitable it was going to happen and you just had to do it and bear the consequences!

What are noise levels like in the cabin when driving with the roof 'down'?
If it's a windy day it is more noisy, on a nice day it is fine, not as good as drop head though. There are 2 settings on a small wind deflector on top of the windscreen, popping it to it's highest level helps but overall it is a stunning car especially how we speced it.
First off the Targa doesn't have the 20mm drop. Going out on the ferry was not an issue, just drove over the steel plates at an angle to lessen the height but coming back the angle was slightly greater and as the front was just over the joint in the steel plates the ferry moved a little and caught the bottom of the bumper and not the rubber splitter part but the painted side adjacent it, luckily you couldn't see any damage from the front only when you got down and looked underneath. Very annoying, I'd only had it 2 weeks.Carlton said:SteveJC said:dropped it off at the OPC Wolverhampton to have a very small wheel scuff repaired and a minor repair to the underside of the front bumper (the metal bit) where I caught it driving on the ferry.

It was only a small ferry ( if that makes any difference) gong from Holyhead to Dublin.
I've seen a few damaged on the fast cat going from Liverpool to IOM, again smallish vessel.
Take care

Took it for a lovely trip up to the northern Lake District over the weekend which has taken it to the dizzy total of 300 miles!
Think I need to upgrade the supplier of my image hosting company, apologies for not linking to the picture properly.
I am absolutely over the moon with the car, it is a fantastic package and a very engaging drive.

Looks absolutely stunning, Rob! [] Cannot wait to get my Racing Yellow Carrera T! I heard today it's at Emden, so hopefully will be at the OPC by April 6th for my collection...

stunning
Finally back to a 911 after 18 months in a GT4.
Some pics of my new GTS Targa. Absolutely loving it!
Lucky enough to get a PTS slot, the colour is Pastel Orange, so much nicer than all these silver ones
I always wanted a Targa and growing up in the 80's it was a guards red, silver hooped, whale tail version. So I now have the modern version of my dream car!
Lots of personal options on it, some useful, some because they look nice and some just because.
