992 Coming Shortly

cymro said:
I specified PDCC on my present car, but I don't think I will include on the 992. I don't do track days, and therefore consider it not necessary for most of my road driving.

Huw, PDCC is a variable system for controlling roll stiffness depending on road conditions. It improves ride comfort and road holding. It is not really a feature focussed solely for the track.

Of course the danger of asking any question like that here is you will get so many different opinions??

Adrian, maybe this demonstrates the versatility of the 911. Some want to use it for grand touring, others as a high performance sports car - hence the differing opinions on specification.

Clive

I have got my build slot, going the PC Kendal on Wednesday to confirm spec. I have gone from gt silver to the adventu green with truffle brown interior, the code is below. I would like to hear anyone thoughts on the brown interior as I think its quite unusual and I am slightly worried about future resale value.

Personally I think that looks well lush Toby. The crayon stitching is a nice touch.

Everyone goes for black interiors *yawn* – your spec will look ace. There'll always be a buyer, unless you did something utterly tasteless, which that is not. I wouldn't worry if I were you; spec the car you want to love driving and being in. It's your first 911, enjoy it 100%, no compromises, I say [:D]

(I run a black car with luxor beige interior. I did not let the word 'beige' put me off …)

My tip would be to spec it exactly as you want it and enjoy the result. [:)]

Otherwise you spend too much time worrying about residual value further down the line and end up with a compromise and less satisfaction with the result. A truffle brown interior will make it stand out from rest when the time comes to sell. [;)]
Regards,

Clive

That’s proper lush Toby ??
and if you have any problems with resale ... I’ll be ready by then ??
enjoy the dream machine
my nearly new 991 is jet black with creamy beige interior bored with black leather nteriors( unless a white exterior of course )

To give a very rough idea there’s a nice 991 at redline with lots of wood and green exterior- I think it works well

If you have the opportunity for a last minute addition, I think the satin aurum wheels look superb with the combination you have chosen. And the Porsche logo in black. I keep coming back to the green/truffle/wood/aurum combo myself. But keep telling myself to be patient...

Hi Andy, the satin aurum wheels are the ones that I’m going with. The gold goes really well with green. Can’t wait to see it in the flesh.

There’s a nice 9914S at redline with a combin that’s not too far removed
looks really classy and different Toby
im sure you’ll love it ??

Nice one Dylan, the wood is open pored in the 992 which gives it a natural look rather the lacquerEd shinney look and the sample was quite dark. ??

I live in Andorra. The car has to be LHD in order to register it here.
