Anyone waiting for a GTS Allocation ?

Lovely looking car- congratulations.

I would be very grateful to know where you sourced the stick on front number plate. ? I am also interested to know if the plinth was fitted at the factory as I have a similar car due in March and am keen on avoiding the plinth if I can.

Enjoy your lovely car..

I am not a Flickr fan (I use https://postimages.org) but that shouldn't stop us seeing your car.

Hi Brian
My Porsche Centre sourced the number plate and gave me the option of trying the stick on number plate first and if i didn't like it they would remove and fit the plinth if i didn't like it. The plinth to my knowledge comes inside the car to be fitted by the supplying dealer.
I can find out who supplied the number plate if you want and forward it to you.

Regards

Hi
I struggled to get photos uploaded and eventually had to get my daughter to do it for me. She dragged them for my Photos into Flicker and then using the Embed feature copied the code into the photo window in the Post

Shuey, are you Shuey_911 on Pistonheads? If so, interested on a review from you on the Targa 4S? Ive ordered a Shark Blue Targa GTS. Did you try the back seats out? From the reviews it looks like only kids can fit in it and uncomfortably at that die to the upright nature of the seats.

Hi All

Thanks Hugh

I would be very grateful to know where it came from, it looks great.

Delighted that the plinth isn’t fitted.

Have fun with the car..

Hi Brian
You probably have noticed my car has only stripes on the bonnet, i personally didn't like the Configurator Option of stripes on the roof and bonnet so my OPC were very helpful as i only wanted stripes on the bonnet. The company that fulfilled my requirements recommended by my OPC are as below

Took the car out today as it has only 153 miles on it , looks superb outside interior absolutely gorgeous . Drives great , little bit hard on our roads even in normal mode but lacks the character of my old 991s Cabriolet which was 3.8 NA with sports exhaust.
With regard to performance in Normal mode this thing is so quick into and exiting roundabouts so I'm looking forward to exploiting sport and sport plus when i get some miles on it.
My old 991 2s cabriolet was so close to GT3 were you had to drive it but this is effortless an amazing piece of kit. I know the GTS is with the extras in Turbo territory but i have had a 4S , Turbo, GT3 , 2S Cab so wanted a GTS , really i have to admit my wife Ann is the reason why i have had so many Porsche cars she absolutely loves them. She was disappointed i didn't spec PCCB and PDCC and rear axle steer yip she knows all about them , but was pleased i went for front axle lift as we are based in NI and it is necessary with regard to Ferries etc.
If i was interested in track days i would be going for a GTS coupe lightweight package PDCC PCCB Rear axle steer and i shared this with my wife Ann, she was unimpressed and said you used to be able to drive a car on the limit what has happened that you need all these driver aides to drive fast []
Planning in doing two 100 mile trips in the coming weeks both will be in N Ireland and Republic of Ireland where i will stretch The GTS legs.
Hugh

Re GTS allocations, I put my order in for a Targa GTS with my dealer in September and I just heard that I have a build slot for June/July, so a late summer delivery which would be great. I expected 9-12 months when I put the order in, so not too bad.

Just got my email for the PEC silverstone. Is there any correlation between that and getting an allocation?

PEC and allocations:

[blockquote]The invite is generated automatically when you place the order. You could contact them on 01327 855911 or email them on drivingexperience@porsche.co.uk quoting your build number Bnnnn and Customer ID BP 3004nnnn to make sure that you are due to be invited. The invites go out in waves.[/blockquote][blockquote]I like to manage my calendar so I called PEC and they sent me 60 days worth of available times and I was able to pick a day that worked with some business appointments nearby (I live in Devon)[/blockquote]

I ordered my Targa 4GTS the week before Christmas 2021 and this week I was informed it has a July build slot with the final specification lock down end May, so I am quite happy with that timescale.
