Anyone waiting for a GTS Allocation ?

g6yog said:
Not a GTS, but ordered a 992 Turbo on 19 June 2021 and not yet had an allocation. OPC hopes that I will get the Coupe by September 2022, but no promises as yet. Getting a bit miffed about the uncertainty, but no other option.
Again not a GTS, but collecting a new Turbo S on Thursday. Ordered back in July 2021 and finalized the spec in November 2021 and arrived at the dealer beginning of March so 8 months wait. Think some of it must be down to the allocation of each model each dealer gets as to how quickly they can fulfill orders

Another Coupe. Carmine Red this time. Has allowed me to tick the boxes I wished Id ticked first time round! [:)]

Carbon Roof as well as a few other bits. Also ticked the box for the upgraded 'gear stick' (if you can call it that!) so interested to see what it looks like in the flesh!

What is the upgraded gear stick?

It's a bigger winkie. Everyone with a Turbo S needs one! [;)]

Sounds like a smart looking car. Congratulations.
Good luck for Thursday. Don't forget to post up some photos amidst all the excitement. [:)]

Regards,

Clive

I cant find anything on the turbo s configurator about an alternative gear selector. Please could you enlighten me further.

It’s called the ‘PDK Gear selector in Aluminium‘ - its in the ‘Aluminium’ section in the configurator

Will send some through when I’ve finished playing with my new gear selector! [:)]

I gave up
No Allocation and one not looking likely anytime soon
Bought a fully loaded 992 C2S last Saturday
Will keep waiting for my allocation if it ever arrives and flip one of them [attachment=thumbnail_image1.jpg] [attachment=thumbnail_image1.jpg]

Picked up the 992 C4 GTS on Tuesday.
it is a magical machine. The MY22 changes (from my MY19) are real improvements.
Went sporty on the spec, Guards Red, GTS pack, RAS and extra carbon and race tex with gloss black body kit.
For those waiting, I can only say it is worth it…

Hi simon1982

yes i have a few more photos, but cant upload them properly on the iPhone as for some reason the "add image” icon does nothing. will add more later when i have my laptop with me.

if you want any particular photo, let me know and i can try my best David Bailey impression for you :)

Put my GTS order in with Porsche Leicester on 1st Nov 2021, car was at dealer 10th March 2022.

Unfortunately work commitments and my desire to get it fully PPF'd immediately (thanks for exceptional service by Ryan at Huntsmith's Brackley and Xpel) meant I couldn't pick up the car for nearly a month. So now I need to get some miles on it.

This is my first ever brand new car purchase, and whilst I have been dissatisfied and disappointed with other PCs in the past, (hence why I sought out a different dealer) I have been very impressed with the service from the whole Leicester PC staff. They will get my business in the future and indeed the 981 has already been there. Highly recommended for sales and service

That is good service!
Ordered mine back in July 21 and expecting delivery end June 22... Still at stage 3 of 5 in the MyPorsche app..

I was very lucky, and perfectly looked after by Porsche Bristol. Having also had awful experiences in at least 3 other OPCs over the years.
It helped that I had (have) a 992 Turbo on order since early 2021, but on allocation (around Nov 2021) I had a choice of C4GTS or Turbo. The C4GTS was delivered earlier this month (April). My guess is that the wait time from Porsche Leicester is very good turnaround.

Here are some more pics of mine... (hopefully they paste ok this time and the aspect ratio is ok!)

It probably helps that this is my 3rd 992 (C2Cab, C2S, C4GTS) as well as a 991.2 Turbo and a (long) while ago a 997.1 ! :)
Then factor in the Cayman R, numerous Boxtser(s) and I have well and truly (erm) invested? lol
